This Film Is Not Yet Rated (2006)

its Documentary time!

In this serious but fun Documentary about how the MPAA rates the various film
you and I watch and examines the mysterious process on how its done and also
looks at various films such as "Boy's Don't Cry", "Jersey Girl", "But I'm a Cheerleader",
"The Cooler" and many other and discusses why the films received the ratings they
did and talks to the filmmakers and critics to get their point of view and how they believe
the system doesn't work for them being they feel censored or down right forced to change
things that under mine the story or narrative because someone somewhere deems it
"offensive"
Now I thought this was a pretty good and it had a very good opening credits.
I also thought that the film makers, critics and film historians have
very valid points, as well as some humor. The film goes in to the history
of The MPAA and the ratings board as well as talks about its creator Jack
Valenti and the Iron Grip he hand over it.
Probably one of the The funnest scenes in the film is when the guy
who is making this submits a copy to the MPAA for a rating
and they call him and give him the rating of NC-17 for
graphic sexual content! he tries to talk to them on the phone
about how they came to that and what their decision process
is and they are not having any part of it and don't want to
answer any of his questions. It is a nicely filmed scene
and like i said probably the funniest part of the whole film.
In the end this was a very good Documentary it was serious
at times but was also light hearted.
It does have some nudity in it though and in the
end credits there is a scoreboard table that shows how many
nipples, asses ect that were in the film.
but it was good I like it it.
