Bang Bang You're Dead (2002)

This was was a very powerful and amazing and heart felt film. Probably one of the best I have see this year.
It tackles a subject that I am very familiar with... Bullying. Which I think is a horrible thing being that I was bullied for the majority of my trip through school from elementary through High School.
but when I was going to school it didn't have anything like this metal detectors, armed security force , bag checks, ect. from what I know we had one security guard by the time I was in the 11th Grade and that was it.
I think i seen this school before in other things but not sure it was very familiar and the "play" portion of the plot somewhat reminded me of the movie Hamlet 2.
Speaking of the play I thought the parents and the general townspeople were really harsh about the play and the students putting it on, a little more harsh then need be but it is funny near the end that the play no one wanted to go into production every one shows up for in the end.
I found the acting in this was superb amazingly superb especially the film teacher. He is a great man who sticks by this principals and doesn't let anyone get in his way of spreading this message.
the other member of the cast were excellent in their roles.
The scene where they are all sitting around watching the videos of the kids day to day life at school
I couldn't help but sympathize with the character of ( Trevor I think) Because that is what it is like being bullied I know I lived it personally. Now I didn't go to the extremes these boys did I found my own way
out and I always thought to myself let them be assclowns becasue they don't matter they are not even worth my time to get upset over (even though I did) but I thought go get my work done, pass my classes and once I finished I'll never see these jerks again and true enough that is what happened I moved on and started chasing my dreams and from what I'm told my bullies are doing nothing other then living at home and mooching off there parents, becasue being the "cool guy" in high school doesn't really translate well to the real world.
I also enjoyed watching the faces of the people as they watch the videos especially the principal where she gets to see what is really going on in her school and see how well her "zero tolerance policy " really works it usually takes looking through someone else eyes to see what is really going on.
and finally the whole scenes in the woods and and the plot against the school seem like they were inspired my the Columbine incident but this one had a more favorable out cum.
Now in the end this movie is a wonderful sharp unflinching look at a very serious topic and should be view by many and bullying should be stopped and no its not "boys will be boy" its not " the way things are, human nature or the social pecking order" it is a very painful, and in some cases fatal for of torcher that is either verbal or physical that is carried out on another person through fear and intimidation.
the question is simple "would you want to be bulled?"
if the answer is no you have to stand up and speak up for those who can not or will not.
anyway watch the move.

The Devil Within (2010)

I wasn't sure about watching this at the beginning but I'm glad I did.
This is a very "by the book" type of thriller/slasher movie but how it presented and lets the story fold out is what catches your attention. The film is done rather well it is not the best movie but far, far from the worst.
I have to say I actually enjoyed it greatly. How the movie plays along really set you up for a great ending
I was rather surprised when they revealed who the killer actually was, it wasn't who I thought it was which was good you don't want it to be predictable the twist was great. I also thought that the acting for this was actually quite well done all the characters are believable in their portrayal of their particular character it all moves really smoothly. I also thought that this had some nice music in it especially the background score was very fitting but a couple of things I was thinking about while watching were what was up with the principal guys face it was all messed up and also during the whole killing part wouldn't you go and check the house phone first? wouldn't they have a land-line house phone? all in all I thought this was a pretty good movie is was a nice enjoyable watch.

#1 Cheerleader Camp

This is another film from there ever groan worthy Asylum Pictures who seem to specialized in making poorly done low-rent versions other movie. Some that I have seen from them have looked like a project a couple of film students did for their classes. Rest assure if it has the Asylum Pictures name on it it should be a good laugh.
Now when they are not ripping off something like Terminator or Transformers and try to do something more in the way of this you actually get a rather nicely done film. Now I know this is most likely a rip off of the movie
"Fired Up!" which was good also and was quite funny.
Now this movie itself I would have to say had one of the best opening credits sequences I've ever seen.
and was filled with plenty of nice um..cinematography and plenty of beautiful scenes that were... well built! *lol* But over all it wasn't bad the the plot was kind of standard, but a bit predictable at times. It also had some nice gags/jokes in there that gave me a chuckle and the acting wasn't bad but the main focus was on the cinematography..the bouncing, jiggling cinematography lol.
but in the end this wasn't bad and was rather enjoyable, I think this was only the second Asylum Pictures that didn't make groan or roll my eyes while watching it so that is a good thing

Never Sleep Again: The Elm Street Legacy

Now this is a Documentary about the History of the Nightmare on Elm Street series
about its creation from the first film straight through to Freddy VS Jason. and the impact it has had on the world and everything in between.
I wanted to watch this being that I have the Jason one that they did becasue I'm a bigger fan of the Jason character (yes just like the Alien(s)/Predator thing below I like Jason more) which is called " His Name was Jason" I thought this would be a excellent watch and I wasn't mistaken.
clocking in at roughly 4 hours ! they cover every single aspect of the Nightmare on Elm St. series
now at that run time this is not for your casual viewer this is a Documentary for the fans
the people being interviewed are just talking opening and honestly and at times with great humor about there
experiences working on and being connected to the series. This is not a straight forward Documentary
it is very casual and they are talking and telling stories pretty much like they would at a convention or even if you where there with them in person.
I would have to say one thing I like about this one was all the opening credits and all there stop motion stuff that was done in between the various segments and I guess you would say sag ways.
I also learned that " Nightmare on Elm Street Part 2: Freddy's Revenge" is apparently known as the gayest horror movie ever! I never put much thought into it and must have not noticed it when viewing it but after seen that whole sequence that only thing that comes to mind is "Now you know and knowing is half the battle" but with everything else said this is a wonderful retrospective on the series and a must watch for all the Freddy fans out there, you never know you might just learn something.

PREDATORS

If it bleeds, we can kill it.
Dutch - Predator (1987)

Now I have always been a fan of the Predator character. I personally believe
he/it is a better more interesting character both visually and story wise then
his Xenomorph counter part from Alien(s). Which is kind of funny in a way being that
the Alien(s) get more screen time and more recognition where like I said Predators are a superior character.
So I was very excited for this film any film with Predators I will be excited for (yes
that even includes both AVP films).
As for the film itself all I can say is wow! I was truly very impressed by it.
It was very reminiscent of the very first film and even referenced the events of the first Predator film.
It was all good even the music was very reminiscent of the very first film as well with it updated yet familiar score.
but the movie was amazing it was suspenseful in the fact that you know something is going to happen but it is the anticipation that makes it work so well.
Also the action was very good and quick it was exciting to watch the characters try to survive this nightmare that they are seeming dropped into.
I did like the designs of the new Predators and even the I guess you would call them "Preadogs" I did like there designs as well it all look so cool and gritty and down to earth so to speak.
I did think the casting was a bit odd but it all worked wonderfully. Adrien Brody is one stone cold Bastard in this but I guess that's what it takes to survive in a situation like this, also I thought Laurence Fishburne had a larger roll in this film his character was more of a drop in drop out type but that does not hinder the over all film.
Now this isn't the "Predator 3" I have been hearing people talk about for year and years but I think this one might just be better. In short I loved this movie and if you're a fan of Predator especially the first one then you will probably love this.

Jack Frost 2: Revenge of the Mutant Killer Snowman

Jack's Back!

but that brings into question did he really need to come back??
my answer is a resounding NO...

The movie in the beginning shows that everyone thinks the sheriff is crazy
being that he is talking about killer mutant snowmen, what a loon, right?
so for the following Christmas him his wife and a couple of friends
decide to hear down to the Bahamas to get way from all the crazy Snowman talk.
So meanwhile people with no common sense dig up jack and revive him
width what I don't know? I was wondering what was poured into the mixture
they don't tell you but it can't be something "scientific" being the doctor guy
was drinking it before dumping it in.
So jack is back and heads to the Bahamas to finish off the sheriff.
while at the resort we find out Agent Manners apparent is crazy now and head of Island security and he as well as the character know as "Captain Fun" become 2 of the most annoying characters in this whole movie and I am gleefully happy when they are actually killed off, but anyway there are more outlandish kills (giant snow anvil?) and plenty of stupid scenes (the thing with the ice cubes) Also I'm thinking wouldn't it be to warm for a snowman to be running around some tropical island in the Bahamas? apparently not... and not only is he running around (which he is awfully fast for a snowman) he actually freezes the entire island and makes it snow.. which I am all "ok, sure.." but even that is not the worst some of the main characters show just how smart they truly are when the character of Marla remarks "Oh, come on, Sam, we don't even know if it's Jack Frost." I mean come on how many walking talking killer snowmen do you actually know?
the characters in this are just retarded, but that is not the worst part being that you have to have the character "evolve" Jack starts to lay these snowball looking eggs that actually hatch into vicious little snowball creatures that could fly! or so what I could see anyway and they can only be killed by using bananas. (they explain why only bananas but im not going to get into that)
this movie is pretty much horrible I knew that going in but still watched it I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Jack Frost (1997)

This is for the horror movie one with the serial killer, NOT the cute and cuddly family version staring Michael Keaton.

The reason I decided to watch this is some friends and I were talking about it not to long ago and I thought I would give it a watch being that I never truly seen it before.
I would have to say the opening credits were pretty good the voice over guy tell a story very similar to how I tell a story which of course made me laugh being I think I tell pretty good stories.
One thing surprised me apparently this was Shannon Elizabeth's first movie acting role.
you might be wondering "Shannon Elizabeth? is that the one from.." yes, yes it is
the one from American Pie. she did pretty good but sadly came to a rather bad end
in the film in probably its most memorial scene.
Speaking of people coming to a bad end that is one of the things that made this film so funny. They try to get you with jokes and puns that are just more lame and groan worthy then they are funny, but that is really funny is the kills and how the snowman goes about it they are so over the top you just have to laugh at them.
now I can draw comparisons to other characters or films I heard people say it somewhat reminds them of child's play. Also for me personally I would say the character of Jack frost is more like the supervillain Sandman from Spider-Man comics
just look at them they are the same type of character its just one is made of sand and the other made of snow.
Now being that this movie was kind of stupid and had some very stupid scenes in it
one of which I thought was rather horrible was the one in the police station where
the sheriff is trying to get the keys, I don't understand why he didn't just quickly grab the over sized key ring and take off I guess that would be dramatic enough
but one thing was bugging me the whole time was how did Jack lets say "walk"
he didn't have any legs just the large ball on the bottom did he waddle? or was it more of a rolling effect where the lower larger ball rolled while the upper ones stayed still? he was clearing moving about in a "walking fashion" I was just wondering about how?
In the end this movie was alright its good for a laugh but nothing else.

Ong Bak 2

I remember watching the first film and being very impressed by it so I decided to give this one I watch.
The one thing I hate when they do a more of a I guess you would say series is they put a "2" on obviously
a prequel. That doesn't make sense to me. This is not a second film it is more of a first they should have called it Ong Bak: The Beginning you know something like that, being that it shows the character of Tien (Tony Jaa)
as a boy learning to fight and growing in to the warrior we see in the original film.
As for the movie itself it of course is like the original very impressive. The music is very dynamic and at times very powerful you feel the characters strength through the music as he fights.
there were some nice sweeping cinematic shots in this and blends well into the music.
The scenes with the elephant were really good I thought they were nicely done as well as the various fights
that is truly the most impressive part of these films you just have to watch them for all the crazy stuff that he does. is there anything Tony Jaa can't do?
well all I can say is this has some amazing visuals and oddly interesting characters (which you sadly don't get to learn hardly anything about) so if you like the original film you might be very interested in seeing this as well if you haven't already.

The Bounty Hunter

Well I remember seeing the trailers for this and thinking it would be funny and I would have to say that here were some nice laughs in it. The movie had some good music that helped make the movie very enjoyable. Also I noticed that the pair of Gerard Butler and Jennifer Aniston worked way better in this film then the horrible pairing of her and Vince Vaughn in the equally horrible movie know as The Break-Up
I thought that one wasn't even funny it was like watching a Dr.Phil special...
anyway I thought the 2 worked good in this. The movie had a good sense of "cat and mouse" with Gerard Butler and Jennifer Aniston trying to one up each other as she runs and he gives chase. I found while he was chasing her you could tell his character was getting a sadistic thrill out of. Like I said it had some laughs probably one of the funnest moments in the whole film was with the stun gun but I think I laughed most at the character of Stewart played by Jason Sudeikis.
but the film was an enjoyable watch had some nice action and a hint of mystery
as Aniston's character tries to solve this case and get her story while Butler pulls her In the opposite direction.

Diary of a Wimpy Kid

Well I don't know if I would consider the main character wimpy.
But I did think this was an alright movie it would be a good one for kids about the same age as the actors. You don't usually see a movie set in Middle School (or Jr. High which is what they call it where I'm from) they usually have it set in High School but it was a different setting. Now the movie didn't seem to have a lot of humor but there were a few chuckles in there like the scene of the main character Greg peeing on his brother was pretty funny. but other things weren't really like the whole "cheese touch" also what was up with no doors on the bathroom stalls?
one thing is when I'm sitting on the toilet I don't need an audience...that was just weird. also what was up with the "girl from under the bleachers" she seemed to sow interest in the Greg character but he kept shutting her down but as we all know but the end of Middle school he will be wanting all her attention lol. but still I don't see why he couldn't have been friends with her anyway, Greg's friend Rowley was a little bit off and seemed kind of effeminate to me and I was wondering through the films if the character was suppose to be gay and didn't know it yet?
also the crazy kid and the whole booger thing where Greg looked like he was sleeping in the bathtub what times was that suppose to be? wouldn't someone need to get in to the bathroom between the time Greg went in and came out? would Greg's parents be wondering where he is? but with all that said I think it wasn't a bad movie it was kind off lost on me but like I said someone in that age group would probably like this one.

A New Beginning.

This is technically my very first original post. All the other posts before this one were posted on another website, but sadly that site was shut down recently so I took what I had and wanted to put it up somewhere else and here it is. I thought it would have been a better idea to do the ones below in blocks of 4 or 5 instead of doing each one as a separate post being that would take so long. So from now on everything after this post will be brand new.
National Lampoon's Vacation

I would have to say I never seen this until now...
I am familiar with the characters through the Christmas one
because you have to watch the Christmas one every year it is probably the
greatest Christmas movie of all time! anyway I thought I would give the original
a watch. Not only does it feature greats like Chevy Chase, John Candy and Randy Quaid
you also see a young Eugene Levy and introducing Christie Brinkley!
the movie is pretty funny and a lot of people can relate to it with out a doubt.
Some of the things that I found funny were "The computer" at the first of the movie
as well as the dog pee sandwiches and the use of the music from Chariots of Fire.
were Clark (Chevy Chase) complains about the tent price I thought that was a good
deal for the 3 tents and the actual tent itself. Also one thing I don't get
when the aunt dies why didn't they drop her off at the hospital and leave
the contact information for the cousin "Normie" to deal with when it came
back? Also in this day and age if the park were to shut down you would know
about it before evening leaving the house. Also I can't see the entire park
shutting down for 2 weeks and especially during a peek time like the summer
which I believe this takes place being most people take their vacation during
that time. all in all it is a good movie but not a funny as I thought it would
be I think the Christmas one is funnier then this one. Also being the first movie
I thought it would answer the question of why Chevy Chase's character is nicknamed
"Sparky" but I guess not.

The Flock

I was going to watch something else but ended up watching this instead
I would have to say it was a pretty good mystery/thriller type of film
I would have to say it reminded me of other movies such as 8MM and Seven.
it is also filled with familiar faces such as Richard Gere, Claire Danes
Ray Wise and even believe it or not Avril Lavigne. yes she has a small
part in here also. I thought this was a pretty interesting film and had
some nice editing and also some very good haunting imagery as well.
I didn't know about the title I was wondering why it was called that
but you learn half way through and it made sense to me.
I was have to say it was amazingly acted especially Richard Gere
he put so much into his performance and it really shows
he did an amazing job on this and with his character.
but like I said it was a pretty good movie I don't have anything
bad to say about it.

Starship Troopers 3: Marauder

I remember going to see the original one in theaters and thinking it was awesome!
the first one is an amazing movie. The second one which was a direct to video
thing was not as good I vaguely remember it I know it had something to do with
little brain bugs or something I don't remember...
as for this I'd have to say it was pretty good the Captain Lola character
reminded me of Angelina Jolie for some reason.
and it was good to see Casper Van Dien return as Rico to kick some bug behind.
The effects were pretty good there was no problem there and I thought
the big Mechsuits near the end of the film were pretty cool. I also
like the references they made to the first movie where this was more
like the first then the second I would say. Also of course there was some nudity
in this a few nice pairs of tits and a couple of nice asses, I can't complain
on that front. Although it was pretty predictable that the "Sky Marshal" was
working with the bugs I pegged that as soon as he disappeared from the base
in that first part of the movie it wasn't hard to figure out. also that
weird romance thing with the characters Holly and bull was kind of stupid.
but all in all it was a pretty good movie if you liked the first one
you'll probably like this one also.

Johna Hex

Now personally I am familiar with the character being that I have been a comic book
person for a very long time. But at the same time I was surprised that he received
a Liva Action theatrical adaption. He was always just a guest star or supporting
character in the books I always read. He is not a top tear recognizable character
to the average movie goer unlike Superman, Batman or Spider-Man, etc.
Now personally personally I thought the trailers looked cool and thought I'd
give it a chance. True its no Iron Man or Dark Knight but I thought it was
alright. I found thought that the pacing was very quick, it didn't linger
anywhere it never felt slow it was a very fast action action packed adventure.
Yes like I said there was a lot of action, cool fights , shoot outs. The
gatling guns on the horse was some what funny.
The effects were pretty good as well. As for the portrail of Jonah Hex Josh Brolin
did an excellent job he looked like him acted like him and even talked like him.
I was very pleased with how the character was presented.
Now as for Megan Fox well people give her a lot of crap for being in stuff
or for just doing anything really but I would have to say I thought she did
rather well in this and wasn't in it as much as I thought she would be.
But like I said it was very fast paced action adventure don't go in hoping
to see something that will win best picture. but go in to a a little bit
of fun and leave the real world out side for about 2 hours.

The Karate Kid (2010)

Well this this truly concludes our Karate Kid viewing lol
I would have to say this film is very similar to the original where as a young guy with his mom move away from the only home he has ever known to a new place and has trouble fitting in and becomes the target of bullying, but soon develops a friendship with a caretaker/handyman for this new home who teaches him confidence and how to defend himself while giving him something to believe in. while at the same time the young fellow gives the elder one back what he lost..a sense of family.
I would have to say the movie was quiet excellent I found it very well done I was quite impressed. It had familiar scenes and some familiar dialogue but at the same time it seemed new and different. It even had the training montages and they didn't feel cheesy they were right on with the rest of this film. There is nothing bad I can say about it This movie has
wonderful cinematography that is sweepingly beautiful at times, The fighting scenes were greatly impressive, it had some nice humor and the music was perfect with this also it really complimented the picture. The only sad thing is there was no "Wax On, Wax Off" lol

Labyrinth (1986)

David Bowie and Jennifer Connelly? Hells Yeah!
With this one I haven't seen it in years but it was a nice trip back to my youth
simply put this movie is still truly amazing. Its a fantasy tale in its truest purest form
its imaginative, funny, exciting. The music, The Effects and the puppetry all comes together in a seamless package. Jim Henson is a true genius and it comes through in spades in this film.
Its a shame it was taken far to soon. The world could use his creativity and imagination now more then ever. Also you can notice the subtle references to things like Wizard of OZ and Snow White as well as others but in the end this movie is perfect you can't say anything bad about it at all. It one of those movies that you loved as a kid and can't wait to have kids so you can share it with them.
The only question that comes to mind is who would win in a fight Sir Didymus (the little dog character) or Puss in boots from Shrek?

Edge Of Darkness

Staring Crazy Mel..! I would have to say this was a great revenge/Mystery Thriller. There wasn't alot of action it seemed very methodical like there was a slow pace to the story but in a way there it was interesting to watch him figure it out and you go along and enjoy the clues here and there, now with that being said there was some action and when there was you would least expect it and it would come fast and hard. especially the scene when the one was getting out of the car and she gets hit. One part made me some what chuckle is the puking scene near the first of the movie I didn't really need to see that while at the same time I myself was eating dinner. As for the movie it was very good I did enjoy it myself I thought it was nicely shot and well acted. The performances came off and very genuine in my opinion. The character who is the head of the Northmoor company you can tell he is slimy from the get go and the spooky English guy who knows everything that is going on kind of reminds me of something you would seen in the X-Files. Also it had a nice ending which i was pretty pleased with so all around this was a very good enjoyable movie.

Confessions Of A Teenage Drama Queen

Wow..that wasn't that good, I mean it was alright after the scene where they were at the police station but everything before that was kind of awful.. I mean the writing seemed atrocious I felt sorry they had to deliver such bad lines of dialogue.. also I thought this was a Hillary Duff movie
not a Lindsay Lohan one I would have to say I am surprised. I found the over all story pretty weak which is surprising being that it is biased on a book so I feel sorry for the author of it and well as far as I can say the only benefit in this movie is that is has Megan Fox in it. and that is saying a lot right there. although the drama teacher seemed crazy which was mild interesting to watch her flip out.
Toy Story 3

One of the Greatest animated stories returns...in 3D!
Toy story the original and the first of its kind (yes look it up it was the first feature length film done completely in digital animation)which single-handedly changed animation and movies in general forever returns.
We meet up with our beloved toys as they try to win the affection of a now grown up Andy
who is heading to college. In a misunderstanding Woody, Buzz and the gang get donated to a Preschool who's toys are ruled by an evil strawberry smelling bear who wants to feed them to the unruly tots and in true "Prison Escape movie" fashion they must break out and get home.
I'd truly have to say this was a fantastic film and a truly welcome chapter
(and hopefully last) in the Toy Story series. The animation was perfect the music
complemented it so well also. The Humor was right on and made me laugh. The "Spanish Buzz"
and the tortilla Potato Head were Hilarious. The movie even had some serious dramatic
tension at points but at the same time the evil bear seemed also like "stinky Pete"
from Toy Story 2 just more evil...
Now it was funny to seem more adults in the theater then kids, but if you were a kid when the first came out and you grew up with it you hand to go and see the 3rd like I did
But the movies was truly amazing and the ending was very sad I even felt like I was welling up and could shed a tear at any second.
Even though the movie was amazing and it had a nice theme of being a family and sticking
together it also had a message that toys are more then just plastic they are a
part of our lives and bring out hopes and dreams to life as we played and should be charshed.
so in closing if you liked the first 2 you should love this one.

The A-Team (2010)

I pity the fool who doesn't enjoy this movie!

I remember watching the series when I was a kin and Mr.T was its star.
Now I was a bit interested and a tiny bit excited when they started marketing this
and even more so when they started promoting this. It is a nostalgia thing.
Now I have to say I was extremely pleased with how it turned out It was perfectly
cast and I and I thought greatly acted it seemed like everyone was just how I remembered it. Basically the movie shows how the team meet and what lead up to them
becoming wanted fugitives and then the mission they undertake to clear their names.
The movie itself had humor and plenty of action and some crazy fun stunts and effects
"Flying the Tank" is one of the most notable things it was both cool and funny.
I also liked how it was edited, the explanation of the mission while showing it happen was a great way of doing it. The editing in that was very interesting and made the movie more
fun to watch. All I can say is this was a great movie
that brings back fond memories and is a enjoyable watch but all I can say is:
"a crack commando unit was sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn't commit. These men promptly escaped from maximum security. Today, still wanted by the government, they survive as soldiers of fortune. If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire the A-Team."

Prince of Persia: the sands of time

From the very first trailers I thought this was going to be good and I was wrong
I greatly enjoyed it. I never had the chance to play the games but heard they were very good as well I'd have to say the movie was very good the cinematography, editing, stunts and effects were all very impressive. the over all film made me kinda of think of Aldin crossed with the scorpion king. it was a fun adventure with plenty of nice action and a little humor.
The acting was very well done I do like watching Jake Gyllenhaal I find he is a very good at what he does and hand real chemistry with Gemma Arterton but all in all I really liked this one it was exciting and lots of fun.

Geek Mythology

Well First I don't really understand the title of this movie I have an idea of what it means but im not completely sure..anyway I wouldn't say the character of Tim is a geek he didn't appear as a geek to me but then it all depends on what one would consider a geek. as for the movie you can tell it wasn't made by professionals and it is just a bunch of people gotten to together to do it but I would have to say it wasn't bad I gotten a laugh out of it it is not by any means a excellent movie but I wouldn't say it was a bad one either it was a nice fun watch. The elevator scene was kinda funny and the music is probably the funniest thing about this I don't think it fits it sounds like something you would hear in a cartoon or some sketch show. The running joke with the cop was pretty good and the big guy "Wallace" looked so familiar! I was trying to think of where I seen him before? but other then that it was an alright movie was a bit funny so it achieved that.

Thor and the Hammer of the Gods.

This was ones of those made for TV movie that you would see on the sci if channel
the ones with the terrible acting and visual effects. Now this one is no
different but it was alright it had the terrible acting and effects the wolf creatures
were kind of funny but in the end it was alright it was a fun watch what filled the time
I needed it to fill. It was very reminiscent of the movie "13th Warrior" staring Antonio
Banderas. like I said the movie was alright there was a nice look to it and there was some
decent action but then there was some very poor attempts at humor and near the end why didn't the guy just cut the others arm and not his whole finger off? wouldn't that have given the
same effect? anyway if you watch don't expect to much from it other then a nice
adventure for 90minutes.
The Decent: Part2

I remember Watching the first one when it came out on DVD and of course it boasted the title that most horror movies claim to be which is "the scariest movie of all time" now I didn't think the first one was scary and I have to say the same about this one I didn't find this one scary at all either.
This "Part 2" is a logical sequel where the girls have gone missing and a search party is sent to find them (see what I mean logical). Now this wasn't a bad movie it its good in a way and follows a good time line and there was some good visuals in this also the various ways of killing off some of the creatures were interesting as well as the thing with the "rat in the mouth" around the beginning was pretty cool and I also liked how you had a chance to get a nice good look at the creatures in this one I like seeing the creature design not just have it as a quick shadowy flash or blur and this movie carried on the sense and feel of the claustrophobic feel and look of the first one. The only thing I don't understand is how the ending was suppose to work? The movie was alright up until that point I'd have to say it didn't much much sense why was the guy waiting there? how did he know at what time someone if anyone would come out? and she took off running how would he know she would stop at that spot and why did he drag her back? I don't know. but like I said it was a pretty good sequel if you love the first one you will like this one also.

My Teachers Wife

Well I have to say that this wasn't bad at all I don't think it was a comedy, there were a few parts in it that gave me a laugh here and there and I think Zak Orth who played "Faber" is actually who made this film funny. of course it also had some familiar faces in it such as Jeffrey Tambor, Christopher McDonald and of course Tia Carrere (schwing!) and speaking of which she does have somewhat of a topless scene in this. Also Jason London who played the main character "Todd Boomer" in this looks so much like Brendan Fraser its unbelievable! but I'd have to say I liked this the dream sequences as well as the animated ones gave me a smile they were well done and interesting but the movie itself like I said was pretty good but then again there are similar ones out there like this but still there is nothing wrong with this one it is a fun watch.

The NEXT Karate Kid

As The Karate Kid Remake plays on the big screen this weekend I conclude my viewing of the series with the true end of the series The NEXT Karate Kid.
I remember watching this for the first time on video when it came out in the 90s and thinking that the girl in it ( who was at the time a relatively unknown Hilary Swank) was the hottest thing ever! she is still pretty good looking but as much as she was in this or at least that is what I thought then. Now at the very first you can tell that it was going to be a different film then the previous 3 but does share many of the elements from the earlier movies as well and being new and different. but truly you have that feeling that this is the last go at the series at the time it was made you can just picture how that meeting when
"what are we going to do next?"
"Daniel's gone so lets make it a girl!"
" thats perfect I'm sold on that idea! lets make it!"
and speaking of which it doesn't really explain what happen to Daniel, is he in college, moved away, settled down with a girl? Mr.Miyagi doesn't really say other then the face that he lived with a friend my the name of Daniel. Now that he has a new female student it gives Mr.Miyagi a whole new set of challenges but I find that the dynamic between the two really does work and is carried well in the film. I didn't find this one hat the humor that the others did although the Monks bowling was a bit funny there isn't much in the way of humor in here but the acting was pretty good and it was nicely shot so you can't really complain to much. It is a fun and enjoyable film.

The Karate Kid PART III

Continuing on with our Karate kid viewing in honor of the up cumming remake I present to you The Final Chapter of The karate Kid Trilogy The karate Kid...PART III.
I never watched this before before now it was an interesting film and shows what happened to the Cobra Kais, and after Miyagi humiliates their master, Kreese. He is a broken man with no students and no money. I don't know why he is as upset as he is someone was bound to beat him at some point he couldn't be the champ forever there is always someone better then you somewhere. but caring his personal vendetta he seeks help from a friend so basically Kreese hires a hit man who in turn hires some goons to strong arm this boy and old man its kind of funny when you think of it. Also the other guy training him to fail which is kind of stupid being that they are engineering (or at least trying to) their win it would just make it a very hollow meaningless victory but I guess that doesn't matter when you are a villain the winning is more important I guess. Also why did he have trouble punching through a 2x4? in the second one he punched through 6 solid chunks of ice on his first try so i don't understand the difficulty on that.
Also Daniel works quick with the ladies in this but I also thought he shouted alot in this one it was like all he was going was shouting at people. I would have to say I did laugh at the "sweeping joke" and I'm no mountain/cliff climb expert but should they have been wearing some boots doing that? I don't think sneakers were proper footwear for that activity lol
all in all it was a pretty good movie in away it reminded me of Spider-Man3 of all things
were he turns on everything he learned and away from the path of the hero and becomes a villain of sorts, then finds redemption when he breaks away from the darkness and comes out a hero once again.

The Karate Kid PART II

Continuing on with our Karate kid viewing in honor of the up cumming remake I present to you The karate Kid...PART II.
I don't think I watched this before or at least in its entirety. I believe I seen bits and pieces of it but never the whole thing from start to finish. It was interesting to see almost a role reversal here where in the first one you see Daniel and what his life is like, where he comes from and follows his story but this one is more focused on Mr. Miyagi and you get to see more of where he comes from and follows his story as it fleshes out more of his past and background.
Like I said it pretty much follows the same story points as the first just changes location and characters which is not a bad thing it makes for a very interesting and enjoyable film. This is a very worthy follow up to the original film and complements it perfectly. I would also have to day the character of Sato was a very good villain I like him very much. Anyway I thought is was very emotional at times and seemed to have alot more humor then the first it was also nicely shot with some very beautiful scenery. but like I said this was actually quite good but man that Daniel guy no matter where he goes he runs a foul of someone who ends up wanting to kick his butt! lol

Hot Tub Time Machine.

I remember seeing this advertised and thinking it would be funny and I did want to see it but did get the chance. Its not the funnest movie of the year but it did make me laugh If I had to describe it I would say it is a cross between Back To The Future and The Hangover. there are a lot of good references to other "Time Travel" movies and a lot of I would say nods to Back To The Future. but like I said it was pretty funny and I thought the acting was good and the writing was excellent. There even was some nice female nudity but sadly some male stuff also and what was up with the guy in the bear suit? anyway it his is a great fun movie I really did enjoy it.

Spawn

I remember going to see this opening night at the theater. I wasn't a Spawn fan in the 90s like everyone else I wasn't really interested in the books or anything related to it. I was reading what I considered more interesting ones. I ended going to see this becasue I went with a friend was was big into Spawn at the time. I'd have to say its not a bad movie, I find it is in a lot of ways similar to the Tim Burton 1989 Batman. The production design is good, the make-up and visual effects are very good especially the visual effects that are very good for the time the movie was made especially in regards to the Violator creature and the Spawn Cape effect the animation is very smooth and perfect. Martin Sheen as Jason Wynn is kind of funny though. After this was released I heard plenty of talk about a Spawn 2 but that apparently never came to pass but even though I wasn't a fan of the character I thought the movie was moderately good, I can't say anything really bad about it.

The Karate Kid (1984)

I remember seeing this along time ago probably the end of the 80s early 90s and being that the remake is coming out soon and looks really good I wanted to give it another watch this is I think only the second time I have seen this movie. I would have to say that the movie it self is almost perfect, it truly is a beautiful film one built on a friendship of two strangers that truly need each other. It is a perfect example of an "80s movie" with a nice sound track and music montages.
the story is fun and keeps you interested and has dug itself into the hearts and minds of people all over the world and brought the terms "sweep the leg" and "wax on, wax off" to the pop culture conciseness and is truly a classic story and I hope the new one is just as good
I couldn't think of anyone better then Jackie Chan for the role of the Mr.Miyagi type character. but like I said this movie is almost perfect.

Dark Island

This wasn't that bad...it was alright. The acting could have used a bit of work and its not really big on effects but when it does use some the effects and animation itself is very good. There were some nice fight scenes as well as some very nice cinematography with beautiful shots of the locations. While moving through the woods you do get the feeling that the characters are being watched from outside force. Alot of whats in here reminds me of other things I seen and Also there is some back story told in various flashbacks.
like I said its an alright movie its not the best but its a good way to kill a couple of hours.

Stripped Naked

Well like I said on other films With a name like "Stripped Naked" it was just begging to be watched!
Now I have to say I was quite surprised with this one I actually thought it was very good. Well acted, nicely shot and seemed to be well written. Also there is very little nudity in a film that features a strip club and quite a few strippers, I'm not saying that was a bad thing I'm just saying it was different then what I would expect. The only problem I seemed to have was at times the picture seemed to slip in and out of focus it wasn't by any great degree but you do notice it when stuff starts to become a bit blurry but it is fixed quickly until it happened again but it doesn't really ruin the enjoyment of the movie itself. The ending itself was kind of sad being the character of Cassie did all that for nothing. all in all this was a pretty good movie I would have to say I liked it.

Killer Bitch

ok..? I don't know what to say about this one it was pretty off the wall and didn't make much sense at times but with a title like "Killer Bitch" it just begs to be watched. Its had a good start but then when down after that. I have to say the acting was quite terrible and the writing wasn't that better either... and speaking of writing I can't understand what they were saying at times I don't speak British slang. I was like what the hell are they talking about?? its like a whole conversation that sounds like gibberish. there were some scenes that made me laugh they were so crazy that you had to also there seemed to be some continuity errors that are very noticeable plus the editing was a bit wonky at times. Now wit hall that said it did had some good parts there was a lot of nice looking nude women running around in this I have no complaint about that and the music for this was very good also and this movie boasts a topless midget in this also which was different anyway I don't think this movie would classify as a good movie but I don't think it was a bad one either so it won't be rated, although I wouldn't recommend it to anyone
Wet Hot American Summer

I'd have to admit that this was really really good! It is an excellent spoof on the 80s teens/kids at summer camp idea. This was hilarious like you couldn't believe I was smiling and laughing all the way through it they hit piratically every cliche they could to make this one awesome and it all works.
It also has many familiar faces like Janeane Garofalo, David Hyde Pierce, Molly Shannon, Amy Poehler and Christopher Meloni to name a few I personally have to say that that all Christopher Meloni was seriously funny in all this scenes he totally owned every one he was in. Its funny watching him go completely crazy when you're use to seeing him as the serious and tough Detective Stabler on SVU. and yes everyone else was excellent in this as well I loved the Music Montage's in this you can't have an "80s" movie with out one and this one had 3!! Hells yeah!
also who who names their camp Camp Firewood? is that just a a bit lazy? but it was all very funny especially the talking can of Mixed Vegetables, Janeane Garofalo phone freak out and what was the deal with every camper having a weird Jewish type name like Cooperberg and Kleinenstein? anyway this movie was awesome if you love the 80s teen flick you'll love this.

The 41-Year-Old Virgin Who Knocked Up Sarah Marshall and Felt Superbad About It

Oh God that was funny! it is one of those movies that is done in the "Scary Movie" parody style that takes scenes form the movies in this movies title and other movies and weaves them in to one film with hilarious results. I knew this would be funny just at the opening credits and I have to say The guy who played Stephen Kramer Glickman who played Seth Rogen was amazing you actually think its him. This whole thing was full of laughs and apparently vomit? I don't know who someone could puke that much? the editing was a bit choppy but the acting was perfect and the music made me laugh also and this was full of pop culture references that were a laugh in them self the Twilight ones were great as were stuff for To Catch a Predator, UFC, those stupid Dos Equis commercials and the Angelina Jolie/Madonna gag was a good laugh and those are just to name a few. this movie is of course stupid and mindless but it sure is a lot of fun and will make you laugh!

The Dunwich Horror

I was familiar with The Dunwich Horror which is biased on a short story by H. P. Lovecraft.
and is part of the stories of the Cthulhu Mythos. So I wanted to give it a watch. I would have to say it wasn't bad it has that Made for TV feel to it and was probably done for the Sci-fi channel. The actual movie itself plays out in a way like an episode of the X-Files. I would have to say the acting wasn't that bad it was better then I thought it would be and the editing was a bit interesting as well as for the effects they were bad at all either and the music was good as well.
the one funny thing about this film is all the locations they went to seemed rather familiar so that just mean I'm watching to many movies lol. but this wasn't bad but at the same time it was excellent either it was an interesting watch though if you are familiar with the characters give it a watch.

Youth in Revolt

Well I don't know just what to say about that one it was different.
I remember seeing the ads for it and thinking it looked pretty good and it was pretty good it was a bit quirky and odd and had a lot of familiar and famous faces in it.
It animation parts were different but worked and I wish they had subtitles for the couple of french bits in there. It isn't really funny in the beginning I didn't start laughing until I'd say 40-45mins into it. I also like Michael Cera he plays a good "average guy" and I think that has a lot to do with his look. Also the idea of him creating the "super cool bad boy" who will do everything that he was to afraid to do is similar to Edward Norton&Brad Pitt in Fight Club.
The ending of this was a bit weird but all around this was a pretty fun movie to watch I can't really complain about it.

Shrek: Forever After

The Final Chapter...
Shrek and the gang return for there fourth and final installment (or so they say)
Shrek feeling the burden of being famous and now a domesticated family man
is yearning for his glory days when Ogres were feared and not celebrated.
After an out burst at his children's birthday party Shrek storm off and meets
up with the smooth talking Rumpelstiltskin who offers Shrek a chance to
relive his days when an ogre was an ogre in exchange for 1 other day.
Shrek agrees and rumple takes his payment sending our lovable hero to
an alternate reality where he was never born.
Donkey is a prisoner, puss is fat and lazy, Fiona is a tough hardened and
hateful warrior princess and rumple is king. so it is a race against
time to set things right again and stop rumples nefarious plot.
as Shrek Learns that you don't know what you have until its gone.
Personally if this is the final chapter in the series it was quite the send off this was true
Shrek form as it has gone back to its roots the story is well done the jokes are funny and the animation and effects are seamless as well as impressive especially in 3D (in which I seen it) the production design and characters are excellent and flawless.
even the music was perfect and helped the jokes at certain times I am so pleased how this
turned out and couldn't have wished for and better ending to the series.

Return to House on Haunted Hill

I remember seeing this advertised and thinking that I would give it a
watch sometime and do remember watching the first one in 1999 and thinking
it was a pretty good spooker so I thought I would give this one a watch.
The opening titles were pretty good it was a interesting way of doing them the
blood effect reminded me of the Dawn of the Dead remake they had a similar
effect if I remember correctly. The acting was a bit off that the start
but once they arrived at the house I found that the movie really picked up.
basically a paramilitary group lead by an opportunistic treasure hunter
followed closely by a professor and some others end up at the house
searching for a valuable item hidden there and as they make there way
through they are set upon by the ghosts. I would have to say I was
very pleased by how this turned out it was very good better then i
thought it would be there was thought a surprising about of nudity in
this but I can't say I was complaining but the film was good I would have
say better then the first the make-up effects and as well as visual ones
were quite impressive such as the face cutting scene as the sheets one in
the front room. also there is a scene after the credits for those
interested but all in all I rather enjoyed it.

Iron Man 2

Iron Man soars in a Brand new adventure that can only be powered by
arc reactor technology in one of the summers most anticipated movies!
I was so excited to see this and had very high expectations for it I
personally try not to have expectations when going into a movie but
I could help it with this one and I would have to say that it didn't just meet
them it surpassed them!
the cast is phenomenal Robert Downey Jr. is Tony Stark I don't believe
anyone could do a better job with this character then him.
and everyone else shines in their part Samuel L. Jackson as Furry
Sam Rockwell and Justin Hammer, is awesome and you just want to hate
him as this character. I even though Scarlett Johansson was very
good as Black Widow I was a bit saddened that she didn't adopt a
Russian accident for the part but at the same time her character is
a super spy so I would think her speaking in perfect English works in
her favor for that it shows how good she is at blending in.
and I must mention Mickey Rourke as Whiplash (or should I say the
Whiplash/Crimson Dynamo hybrid) he was a prefect villain he played
that so well like incredibly well the fight at the race track you actually
believe that he has Iron Man defeated and that the hero has fallen.
the only casting I was worried about was the replacement of Terrence Howard
with Don Cheadle because I thought Terrence Howard fit that part so well
but Don Cheadle did a very good job in that part.
and finally John Slattery portrayal of Howard Stark reminded me so much
of Walt Disney I don't know if that is how it was suppose to be but
that is what I gotten from it.
as for the story it picks up shortly after the first one left off
and deals with Stark's revelation that he is Iron Man. The story
touches on so many aspects of Tony's comic book past his inflated
ego and his alcoholism as the government hounds him for the secret
of the Iron Man suit, The realization that the prolonged use of
his chest battery is killing him and the looming threat of people
with sinister plans getting there hands on this technology.
you watch as his life spirals out of control and down the tubes
but again finds personal redemption with the help of Nick Furry,
S.H.E.I.L.D and his best friend Rhodey and proves that even though
Iron Man might be Invincible but the man in side is just as flawed
and vulnerable as the rest of us.. the scene with pepper and the
strawberries was I think a good example of that.
as for the effects they were seamless perfect, the action was explosive
and exciting and the wit and humor gave me a smile and a chuckle
and I think my biggest smile came from the scene after the credits.
second biggest smile was probably the Captain America's Shield gag.
but all in all this movie was excellent I loved it and had no complaints
about it at all.
Wild Things: Foursome

I would have to say I was surprised to see that they made a four one of these
but like all the others I thought I would give it a watch and I would have to
say that it was an alright movie. Now the acting in this wasn't all that good
but where it lacks in that it makes up for it in the T&A like all the movies
in this series it has a lot of bouncing and giggling. I noticed that the movie
itself was not was not completely 100% original you could tell they borrowed this
scene from the First one and that scene from the second and this idea from the
third and they put it all together and sprinkled it with some new stuff to make
this look like an all new movie but like I said it was an alright movie minus the
patchwork script. In my opinion the first one will always be the best this one
compared to the other in how good it was it fits in between 2 & 3.

Zombie Strippers!

I remember hearing about this and seeing the trailer for it online and thought I would
give it a watch sometime it wasn't until the other night when I was talking to a friend of mine about a couple of movies and he brought this one up and asked if I had seen it yet
which I told him no. So with that I decided to watch this now and I would have to say it was alright its not the best movie some of the acting is very cheesy there was also very little humor some parts were funny but in a stupid type of way, but I would have to say the thing with the pool Balls was I thought the funnest part. the make-up and visual effects were pretty good especially the head ripping scene was cool. also some of the music in this was good also but I'd have to say the 2 things I learned from this is when you become a zombie
1. you become extremely agile, to a almost superhero level. 2. being a zombie makes you a better stripper

Esoteric Agenda 2: Kymatica

wow...just when you thought they crammed all the craziness in to one film they go and head and make a sequel that is not just crazy but retarded?!? apparently the narrator/voice over guy hates everything and want you to also while at the same time he hates you for being a "diseased corporate whore who is only concerned about your materialistic greed" he goes on about how you the viewer is what is wrong with the world today. about 20-27 minutes in he regurgitates some of the key points from the first film there is also about 10mins or so of animals being torched in this also which i didn't like watching. apparently things like Birth certificates and drivers licenses are means of oppression and are actually receipts of your government ownership and they can buy and sell you using these documents, I mean come on really? that is retarded! also if everyone just lived a natural life all the problems would go away if you need something you just take it. well that doesn't really work in what I like to call "the real world" I need a box of cereal being that I'm living a natural life I should be permitted to just walk into the the store and take it because according to this guy I don't need any currency being I'm living a natural life and when the cops arrest me for shoplifting ha that's no problem they are just tools of the government I don't have to obey any laws set forth by man because I'm living a natural life and courts and judges its all a farce I'm living a natural life and then you will be locked away in jail but its no biggie because of course I'm living a natural life...BS I say BS!
and all his pseudoscience he pushes and these so called experts he trots out I could hire some guy and say "ok your Dr Farnsworth for University U all you have to do is deliver the lines as scripted" these 2 docs are stupid to the point of retarded and you would have to be so to believe alot of it makes me wonder who gave this 5 stars?

Perfume-The Story Of A Murderer

I remember seeing a trailer for this on a DVD some time ago and thought it looked interesting and ended up watching it here. I would have to say that it is a very good somewhat enchanting but yet some what sad story. There were plenty of good performances by Dustin Hoffman and Alan Rickman in this and especially from Ben Whishaw who plays the main character who is a man with an extraordinary sense of smell that is truly superhuman. The plays this role in a way that you could only relate it to Hannibal Lector he comes off as very smart and very calculating at least I thought so. There were also some parts in it that I thought were funny I don't think they were suppose to be funny but I thought they were anyway. Also the one thing I really liked about this was the Narration at times through the movie I felt that it helped the story along greatly. Another thing about this has to be it should have been called "a series of unfortunate events" for the simple fact that while on his quest to capture beauty in a bottle and create the ultimate perfume/sent everyone he comes in contact with in his life dies and not really by his hand mind you but in some random obscure way. He comes and stays with someone one for a while and then as soon as he leaves that person finds a rather peculiar probably the funniest was how Dustin Hoffman character exits. I felt kind of bad when the main character accidentally kills the first red headed girl in the ally not as bad as he felt but bad enough and when he started killing the girls for his masterpiece he should have burned the clothes and the hair and would have probably have gotten away with it even smoother then he did. but in the end he creates the ultimate perfume which has a rather interesting effect near the end of the movie which leads into a rather odd ending. but all in all it was a great movie and I was happy to watch it.

A Nightmare on Elm Street (2010)

Much like the other remakes that came out recently I wanted to see this new
take on a classic horror film/franchise and I would have to say I wasn't
disappointed. Much like with last years Friday the 13th (2009) I was very pleased
with how this turned out. Also much like last years "Jason" this ones
story is a bit different from the original and it also sheds some light
on what happened that lead him to become the monster that he is
but even though the story is a bit different it is a very good
take on the series it also has many of the classic scenes
like the glove coming out of the bathwater, Freddy's face coming out of the
wall above the bed and the girl thrashing around as she flys around the room
being killed to name a few.
even though this is the first time Freddy was not played by Robert Englund
and was replace by Jackie Earle Haley (Watchmen's Rorschach) he takes the
character and runs with it full steam and does a very impressive job.
But where as the original Freddy was a bit more over the top comedic and a little
twisted as well as kinda cheesy with the jokes this new one I'd have to say
is more serious and revenge driven with a far more demonic fell to him
and he has some nicely well written witty lines that will actually make
you laugh.
I'd have to say it was nicely put together and the effects both visual and
especially make-up were impressive where it goes for the realism and gives him a
look similar to how someone would appear if they were burned alive.
The only problems I have had is that it was a was a shame Robert Englund
didn't make an appearance in this as like a cop or some background character
and second I kinda think the part of Nancy was miss cast I don't think the
girl in this one (Rooney Mara) was as good as the original Nancy (Heather Langenkamp)
I felt in away that Mara didn't have the fight or drive that Langenkamp's
Nancy did. I'm not saying Mara did a bad job I just think she should have be
I don't know more... confident? Mara's Nancy came off a little more apathetic
and should have been a little more out going.
but all around I really enjoyed this take on this film
it was a fun watch with some scenes that should give you a jump or a
chill.
Damage

Staring everyone's favorite redneck Stone Cold Steve Austin and Supergirl herself Laura Vandervoort and an appearance by William B. Davis (The Smoking Man/Cancer Man)

I would have to say that this was a pretty good movie I don't think I liked it as much as the condemned but it was very good. there is not much to the plot basically what is in the description.
It in away reminded me almost like a cross between Rocky and No Holds Barred (staring the Hulkster!) the fights were good and exciting to watch especially the "dog match" that was an interesting one. I would have to say the acting was very good also I don't have any complaints about it although some might , the only thing I don't think I liked was Laura Vandervoort as a brunette I guess it is becasue you're use to seeing her as a blond but with that said I don't think her blond hair would fit this film so the color change works. This also had a bit of humor especially in the Parole Officer scenes they did give me a chuckle and this film also had some good music at times not what you would expect from an Adrenaline fueled action flick but its an action picture with a heart. all in all I liked it it was a fun watch and enjoyed it.

Hellweek

This was pretty good actually it was a fun watch a bit creepy at times the acting was kind of bland from the teen characters at times like they were just saying something they memorized but I think the crazy family characters is what made this an enjoyable watch they were fun and interesting. The editing and music in this was very good. There seemed to be a lot of Chainsaw Massacre references in this and there were a few from other movies as well. You can tell this is low budget amateur made but its better then some of the ones I seen. Also the character of JJ reminded me of Stiffler from American Pie. all in all this was a fun watch I can't really complain to much about it.

I Am Virgin

ok what the hell was that?
basically they take the story from "I Am Legend" and turn it into a porn.
the guy "Robby" in this who reminds me of Brendan Fraser and is the last man alive on earth or so he thinks and he is a virgin! apparently the world suffered a plague of some sort that turned everyone in to a sex crazed vampire and Robby goes around the city watching everyone have sex (see that is where the porn angle comes in) but he won't join in when he is offered and runs away screaming like a little girl. until a very so wise Vampire named Paul played by Ron Jeremy tells him that he can have as much sex as he wants as long as its meaningless sex Robby try to put this into practice but he can't being that he is a loser and would rather continue this journey to find that one perfect girl for him and heads north to a fabled compound where apparently there are all kinds of non sexy vampires. Well with that said plenty of the girls in this were perfect so I don't know the problem, but hey to each his own. the movie itself was pretty awful the acting or lack there of was horrible, it was full of cheesy horror movie references. The only thing that saved this was watching the girls bounce around, I didn't even find it funny it was just groan worthy so don't bother watching if you want a comedy its not one and it doesn't even make a good porn either...

Forgetting Sarah Marshall

this was one that you heard a lot of good things about and you wanted to see and I would have to say I did enjoy it. I thought it was very extremely funny I laughed at countless parts through out the movie. I liked it although I did not enjoy the male nudity that I couldn't have lived with out but the female nudity was just fine lol. As I was saying the film was nicely written, shot and acted the characters were believable and very likable and this movie featured many familiar faces especially Mila Kunis who shins in this like no other I think she even upstages Kristen Bell and is of course more watchable. around the 40min mark i had a feeling I thought I knew where this was going and was happy it went the other way it made for a better final act. anyway very good movie with plenty of good laughs.

The Drawn Together Movie.

Well now...I did watch the show when it was on all of it and thought it was pretty funny and when I heard they were doing a Direct to Video movie I thought "That should be interesting" so i was curious to see it when it was available and here we are.
I'd have to say I noticed that the animation seems a bit different from the TV series but that is not a good or a bad thing. I also think this came around being that the Family Guy Star Wars ones are popular and of course Seth MacFarlane voices a female robot with huge knockers in this called "I.S.R.A.E.L." (Intelligent Smart Robot Animation Eraser Lady) and in true Drawn together fashion this was outrageous, Raunchy and crude and utterly offensive and even more so on this its pretty much everything they couldn't do on TV with loads of foul language, tons of nudity and even an Animated Sex Scene. but all in all it was what you would expect from this series as for the jokes and the writing was sharp and witty and I did get a good laugh out of it. so if you loved the show you should like this. I especially laughed at the South Park parody. I'd have to say I like how this turned out and gives a good ending to the series as a whole.

Chloe

I seen this advertised a few times and said I'd watch that if I had the chance so this was the chance it was a different little film and has 3 great actors in it Julianne Moore, Liam Neeson and
Amanda Seyfried as the title character. I have to say I do like her she has a very beautiful face and the rest of her isn't bad either (gigady!) I'd have to say this one would probably fall under the erotic thriller gene and it shockingly had more nudity in it then I thought it would. but it was well acted and the story was kinda different. I mean it would have just been easier to hire a Private eye to tale her husband but I guess this works also in a bit of a round about way. Also the ending was a bit off I must have missed something somewhere what was Chloe's motive? sis she want Julianne Moore Character's life? did she want to replace her? or was it something else? I didn't really get it? but over all it was an ok film and was worth the watch.

Kick Ass

I went to see this becasue the idea really spoke to me and the trailers
looked very good, funny and had action. and I would have to say that
Kick Ass is one of the best movies I seen this year so far. this movie truly
kicks ass! The movie was very good it had a lot of action and was a bit violent
but not needlessly violent though I think it was a important part of the experience the
main character goes through. I thought it was a realistic depiction of what would happen
for the most part if you just threw on a costume and went out and fought crime with
now powers or abilities to fall back on it just doesn't work and the character
of Kick Ass finds that out quick. They do bring up the idea of Batman where he has
no powers and is just a regular guy but you have to look at it in the way that
where it is technically possible to become Batman you would have to do what he
did and spend 15-20 years learning how to become The Batman learn all the stuff
he had learned where Batman has skill and technology on his side Kick Ass does not.
I'd say he is more like Casey Jones from Ninja Turtles. He was surely unprepared for
heroing where as the Character of Big Daddy and his daughter Hit Girl were more
prepared and able to do it. He seemed to have a form of ceramic body armor and be more
technical as well as have some skill unlike Kick Ass. a little knowledge and prep time goes
along way there is a old comic book saying "Batman's greatest superpower is
prep time" but as I said the movies was fantastic the action and stunts
were impressive the humor was sharp, witty and very funny. The story
itself was very good you could draw parallels from these "real world" character
and actual comic characters where as Big Daddy and his daughter Hit Girl
were like a cross between Batman&Robin and The Punisher and as I said
Kick Ass is more like Casey Jones, as well as Red Mist and his father
came off kind of like Wilson Fisk (the Kingpin) and Harry Osborn.
and its true I would like to be a Superhero also but I know it takes
more then just throwing on a costume and walking around the city
I wouldn't do it unless I had powers like invulnerability or at least
be nigh-invulnerable lol. but all in all this was a fantastic film
if you ever wish of being a superhero give it a watch.

Earth 2100

At first I thought this was just a movie like an action or Sci-fi one not a documentary
type of thing but it is a good one. It as a great visual style that sticks with you as it is
mainly done as a "motion comic" similar to what was done with Watchmen where the
panels are animated and the story comes alive.
The Las Vegas scene reminded me of what was shown in the 3rd Resident Evil movie
"extinction" but with that being said this like many other share a similar formula.
It is almost like it employs scare tactics and like many similar to it it in subject
matter it is certain in what it says this is no "if" or "might" there is only
"it WILL happen like this!" like the science is absolute and infallible, but at the same
time you can watch another Doc that says the exact opposite thing.
also like many others it is very pessimistic and only deals with a worst case
scenario this is no optimism and when a shred appears it is quickly dashes with more
talk of the End of Days. when watching stuff like this makes me think about things like
what happened to the space program? by like 2083 wouldn't we be out exploring and boldly
going where not man as gone before in a possible "star trek" type of fashion?
at least have a colony on Mars or some other earth like planet? these types of
things don't really address stuff like that they mainly just say were stuck here and
were screwed, deal with it!
like I said there is very little "if or might" in these types of things also isn't
the world going to end in 2012? lol if so we don't have to worry about getting to
2083 and by 2015-2025 aren't we suppose to be in the war with the machines
who are out to terminate us by then? lol
but all in all it is was very good but I wouldn't take it for 100% fact becasue
you never know I think the best part of the whole thing was the end were they
gave you a tiny bit of "what if" but still it was mainly focused on the bad and
you have to look on the bright side and be optimistic and build a better future not
one that involves death and destruction.

Esoteric Agenda

Well I would have to say it was longer then most at over 2 hours, where most of these are an
hour and a half/45 mins. Now I would have to say as these cooky doc go this one by far takes
the cake it has everything in it and more and introduces some new stuff such as "The Order"
and "The Mystery Religion" and something called Agenda 21. also I learned some things in
this such as Global Warming causes things like polio. Also the Mass Media and movies such as
Harry Potter are made solely to push the Mass Media agenda and make you feel stupid?
as well as if you by any product you are in fact funding the New World Order becasue they
will own you through your materialism and in fact when they come to power they well come and
take everything you own away so you don't really "own" anything anyway you are just holding
it for a little while. Also you will come to pay for your materialism with something called
the "Amerio"? they also mention something called a UN Peace keeping force which I heard
somewhere else will be called "F.O.E" which stands for Forces Of Earth. Also you should
not get a job being that when you do get a job you will no longer be a Natural Person but in
fact you will become a Artificial Person. and apparently if your name appears in all caps
on any document that means a man's condition changes from freedom to Bondage and all rights
of citizenship and family rights are surrendered! so they can just pick you up off the
street and throw you in jail just for that. lol like I said this one had everything even
your pal and mine Alex Jones has a voice over (hell yeah! lol) all this was missing was
Aliens and "Planet X" and it would have been perfect even if it did get a bit of spiritual
and metaphysical near the end it was still a fun watch all the same.

Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby

I'm not a big fan of Nascar or car racing in general but I have been to a few races being
that we have a race track were I live and it is a big thing in the summer anyway..I wanted to
see this being that the trailers looked funny, but what is up with Will Ferrell and all the
sports movies? I'm surprised he didn't do a wrestling one or baseball yet.
anyway this lived up to the trailers it was very funny, very one seemed retarded in it but
that just made it funnier. Also there was alot of familiar faces in this as well its kinda
of fun pointing out all of them but I guess when your Will Ferrell you can have anyone you want in the movie.
as I was saying some good laughs, nice camera work great writing and acting makes this a fun
movie to watch.

American Summer (the pool boys)

featuring Matthew Lillard,Tom Arnold and George Takei! that's right I said George Takei!!
this wasn't the greatest movie but it was fun and entertaining there were a few laughs
but plenty of very beautiful woman, lots of nice T&A jiggling and bouncing through
the story is a simple one and is very teen comedy and also features a Gimp fighting a
Unicorn. Now when it started about 7 mins in I thought this is going to be good and I have to say it
was pretty enjoyable. if you want to waist some time and watch something with some zany
characters and hot girls pop this one on.

American Dirtbag

This was a rather good yet sad movie it was well written and very well acted
the two main characters seem like they are very cookie cutter at the start
she is the popular cheerleader type and he is the bad boy from "the wrong side of the tracks"
but they blow passed that and have very deep meaningful performances.
they are 2 people thrust together by how there names appear on the attendance list
there lives are different on the out side but very similar on the inside.
and that almost gives them some common ground. he is a real jerk to her in the beginning
and I was wondering why until I seen how this home life is and it was no surprise
and speaking of which I did like how both their home lives were shown from a color
perspective hers is very bright and cheerful where his is depicted as very dull and
gray you could almost say when they begin to develop their friendship it is like
she somewhat brings color into his world and that is where it goes a rye
when they develop their relationship they are pretty good together until he tries
to take it to the next level and she shoots him down he becomes hateful and possessive
towards her almost violent and jealous towards the ones around her. you can kind of
say that he does not want to let go of the color she injected into his world and
ends up doing the "if I can't have her I don't want to live" thing and tries to take
his own life in the middle of class. she feels guilty but moves on and there is
some snippets of life after the suicide attempt were she sees him in public that seem
kind of weird and out of place but maybe that is how it was suppose to look
I don't know. it is a sad end though but somewhat give closer to her and the experience
also this says it was inspired by a true story I'm thinking maybe since this was written
and directed by a woman that she was the main female character and this happened to her?
I can't say for certain but it would make sense.

Alice in Wonderland 2010

Like most I grew up watching the original Disney Animated Alice in Wonderland much like
everyone else, but do remember at one point seeing a live action version when I was little
along with a live action Snow White...? but that is besides the point. when I heard about
this I knew it would be interesting especially since Tim Burton was in charge due to his
rather unique style and I'd say "neo-gothic" look he smears all over everything and of
course that comes through in this thing in spades. While watching I kept thinking to myself
"is this some sort of sequel to the animated film" being that Alice is all grown up and
making a second trip to Wonderland.
With that in mind while watching it made me thinking of other similar movies such as 1985s
Return to Oz (another Disney feature) and 1991s Hook. Now while watching this film I hate
to say I felt very disinterested..? The effects were perfect I did so like the Cheshire Cat
as well as the the production design and being a Tim Burton film the usual regulars are in
here. I found Johnny Depp played a Mad Hatter who was truly mad and he was fun to watch as
always and did get a lough out of some of the stuff in the film much like some of the things
the Red Queen says but still while watching I felt very disinterested like I could careless
what happens to the characters or the world itself the movie must have been lacking something
I don't know what it was but something..I was interested in seeing it but during and after
seeing it I felt very "meh" about the whole thing. it was good in ways but in the long run
I don't think it lived up to what I thought it was going to be and that is truly a shame.
Clash of the Titans 2010

I have always been a fan of the original movie, I have it on DVD and would have to say it is
one of my favorites it is always a great movie to watch any time. So I was a little
curious when i heard that they were planing a remake of this timeless film.
At the first view of the trailer I was hooked and had to see it so I did I went out and
watched it on the big screen a few days ago I didn't see it in 3D being many people said the
3D wasn't that good so I went for the regular 2D thing and I would have to say I wasn't
disappointed at all the film itself was very impressive it. its pretty high on the wow effect
I would have to say it was amazing awesome it had some nice story elements, brilliant action
a touch of humor even a joke involving the Mechanical Owl from the original one that made me
laugh. like I said it was heavy on the wow the effects were I'd say seamless and
breathtaking especially in the big moments like the rise of the Kraken and the battle with
Medusa which was very good I was kind of worried about the Medusa scene being the the
original was so well done I just didn't want them to ruin it but it was perfect she is much
more fast and agile in this version then the original. even the music was great especially
during the Scorpion battle it came of very bombastic and heightens the battle it fits in a
movie like this. but I loved most everything about this movie especially the design of
Olympus and the Gods and think Liam Neeson made a great Zeus similar in a way that Morgan
Freeman made a great God. The only to things that really didn't like is the depiction of
Hades he was cool and menacing when he was doing stuff but when he is just standing around
and talking to people he looses that edge, I would have to say I did prefer the Hades in
Percy Jackson better then the one in this. Also I was kinda of saddened that there was no
mention of Ray Harryhausen on this I sat through the whole credits to see if he was mentioned
in the "special thanks" or even at the end if it would say it was "dedicated to the memory
of" but nothing I know I would have put his name in there somewhere but I guess that is just
me but in the end It was a fun quest filled with lots of excitement.

Ninja Assassin

From the people who brought you The Matrix comes Ninja Assassin!! (not much of a stretch is
it lol)
I wanted to see this for a while and the trailers for it looked very interesting so I finally
hand the chance and I must say whole crap that was one crazy movie! it had alot of nice
quick action and cool stunts but I'd have to say that it was quite gory, more gory then I
thought it would be I mean you will be thinking "wow, that's alot of blood!" but oddly its
funny at the same time
the effects were pretty good also especially in the opening sequence when the guys get their
heads and stuff cut off that was rather impressive. As for story it pretty classic the
"star student" rebels against the clan and its leader for something the leader did and with
the help of a government agent he has a dramatic show down with this one time Master.
it is quite and enjoyable watch if you can stand all the gore. a thrilling, action packed
sword swinging extravaganza!

Logan's Run

I wanted to see this for a great while people talk about, reference it, I even heard Bryan
Synger wants to do a remake of it being its one of his favorite movies or something to that
effect.
I never gotten a chance to see it until I was reminded to the other day. Now the movie is
truly "futuristic" by early to mid 70s standards the effects in this "pre-Star Wars" time are
kinda funny any wide exterior short of the city is of course you can clearly tell its done
with models and miniatures it looks almost like an elaborate train set. the guns the cops
or "sandmen" have are odd they pull the trigger and some smokey green squibs go off in the
distance. Also the whole "Carousel" scene at the beginning was just plain weird, I was all
WTF?? and there is quite a bit of overlay and composting work that makes it look kinda funny
also there is also a surprising bit of nudity in this also that I didn't expect. Also the
robot in it was very lols worthy he was all Lost in Space-ish. The one thing I think I
don't understand was why was it 30 years old? I don't think 30 is old 40 you have
probably be a better number. I did like the one who played Jessica she was very attractive
and I liked the Old Man also he was quite funny. during and after watching this It reminded
me of the movie that came out a few years ago called "The Island" by Michael Bay it I
thought shared a lot with that film. All in all I thought it was pretty good I didn't think
it was as good as people say it is but it wasn't bad by any means just a bit weird at parts.

The End of America

"Everything that has a beginning has an end."

This was a very interesting, thought provoking and well put together film.
it is a bit different being most doc you see are done by men where this one is done by a
woman she is a great speaker has an excellent voice and a nice passion as she talks.
It starts off kinda fluffy but then gets serious quickly and is serious through out then is a
bit fluffy again at the end. some parts were rather scary and rather odd where think "how
can people get away with this" happily there is no mention of Shadow Government, thought
police, moloch the owl or any of the other wacky things that plague these types of thing
this is a serious Documentary by a serious Journalist and is a good and engaging watch and

always remember one thing:
"People should not be afraid of their governments. Governments should be afraid of their
people."

Whip It

I remember this being advertised and thinking it was kinda interesting looking and recently I
was in a internet argument with someone and it involved this I don't remember how it involved
it but it did so I wanted to give this one a watch.
The story is pretty standard and a bit predictable
1.girl from small town is not happy in her life has low self confidence and self esteem
2.she then goes on and finds something that she loves and is good at it gives her high self
confidence and self esteem
3. she is happy and enjoying her life but is threaten by a rival in her new passion
4. Everything unravels and she is back to step 1
5. Loving parent figure steps in tells her basically follow your dreams/heart and she goes
back to what makes her happy and finds that true strength comes from with in with a little
help of your friends complete with happy ending.
Now with that said that doesn't mean it was your typical chick flick it was actually very
good it was the way that it went along that I think made it good, there was plenty of nice
scenes and some great dialog in there. It has that quirky humor that you have to pay
attention to or you will miss it. The acting as well was very good especially from Ellen
Page of course (who is from the same place I am) but there was no surprise there as well as
all the other skaters and rest of the cast as well as the direction by Drew Barrymore all in
all this was a very good movie it was funny with some rough and tumble scenes and has the
"Chick Flick" formula but doesn't come off as one so I enjoyed it.

Camp FEMA: American Lockdown.

The Government is coming to get you, your friends, your family and your little dog too!
this was a pretty good one it had amazing background music and the narrator had a good
voice for it also. Also this Doc featured one of my favorite people Alex Jones
he makes me laugh. so in this apparently Obama is Hitler and there will be
"thought police" in the near future similar to that is seen in Minority Report.
who will come and arrest you for even thinking of committing a crime or
thinking anything bad about those "in power"
I don't know what to think of the "camps" in the film maybe what they say
is true maybe not it is hard to tell sometimes when ones like there anyway I'm just happy
that I am not an American
She's out of my League

I had a slight interest in this being that the trailers looked funny and I found the
movie itself lived up to that. I did have a great laugh at this and thought it was
great. His and her friends should have just let them be and not tell them
that they didn't belong together, if she likes him and he likes her its no one
else s business. As for the scene with molly's parents where he ran out he should have
been honest with her from the get go. with meeting with the parents if they noticed the
stain I would have acted surprised and said "oh, I must have spilled something on it from
dinner.." also why does the guy keep calling him pirate? was that short for
"butt pirate"? I was wondering that the whole movie. but this was good I thought
so it was funny well acted and witty so I enjoyed it.

Texas Chainsaw Massacre IV: The Next Generation

Staring Renee Zellweger and Matthew McConaughey!...say what??
its true!
well that concludes the original Texas Chainsaw series. This one wasn't bad at all it was
pretty good much like the third one. I found this one was in a way more reminiscent of the
original then the previous 2 were. I was thinking while watching this how old would
Leatherface be at this point? if he was say 25 in the first one he would be about 45 in
this? I guess all that exorcise he does keeps him in top shape all the heavy lifting and
running that is he always seems to be getting a good work out. I also did like the "business
woman" character in the credits know only as Darla I thought she was pretty good but also
there is some unanswered questions like what was up with the guy with the robotic leg and
who was that dude in the suit? they didn't really seem to explain all that.. also seeing the
younger Zellweger was cool she was quite the cutie back then. all in all this wasn't bad at
all I'd have to say. personally after watching the entire series I think the second one is
the worst.

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre III

Staring Viggo Mortensen!!
this one was alright, I have to say I enjoyed it alot more then I did Part 2. it started off
good and keep going at a pretty good rate it wasn't crazy like the second one it was pretty
straight forward it could have used a bit more gore this one seemed like a PG 13 type of
thing where you didn't see much of the violence. also speaking of the violence and the
second film how is Leatherface even in this? he was run through with a chainsaw in part 2?
ah well it just goes to show you that when you're disemboweled you come back with damage to
your leg that's Hollywood for you, LOL. but I did like the Leatherface design in this one,
and how many member are there to his family were these relatives he was staying with? anyway
this wasn't half bad I would have to say and liked it more then the second.

Shutter Island

A lot of people have been saying that this sucks, I wouldn't go that far in say that I didn't
think it sucked, although...I didn't think it was a good as I thought it was going to be.
I did think the music was impressive it a lot to the the movie it was very haunting in
itself.
and as soon as they get off the boat and on to the Island you know there this something
really wrong with the place. The asylum itself made me think of Arkham Asylum from Batman in
a way. the movie feed into paranoia and does have a nice mystery that Leo's character is
out to solve as well as the film has some odd and yet interesting imagery but there were some
of the wacky "dream sequences" where I was thinking "what is going on?". While watching and
by the time the film gotten up to were Leo is told he had no partner and arrived there alone
and the scene where he blows up the car, I was thinking "I bet this is all in his head, and
he is insane and dreaming this" and when they had the big reveal I have to say that I was
very very close.
now like I said it was pretty good I did enjoy it but not as much as I thought I would.

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2

Well now... I have to say I do like The Texas Chainsaw Massacre the original was was great
and I do love the remake but I never seen any of the sequels that are in between the two so
now is a good a good enough time as ever. I have to say this is a pretty good sequel but
does not live up to the original it does not have the utter shock and terror that the
original had that made it so famously good. I did like the beginning narration it somewhat
answered any questions after the first one ended. as for the movie it self it was rather
comical and not very horrifying at some scenes I was thinking "what the hell???" and man
Dennis Hopper looked so young in this it was crazy but it was a good sequel but far from the
original.

Percy Jackson And The Olympians: The Lightning Thief

I wanted to see this when it was playing it looked interesting and I always was fascinated
and enjoyed the Greek Mythology so this was one I would have liked to see but couldn't go due
to not having the time, So I'm pleased to have a chance to watch it here.
I would have to say I was very impressed. I enjoyed it greatly and that is not a surprise
being Chris Columbus always puts on a good show.
I found it very entertaining, had some nice humor that made me chuckle, some great action, a
good story, likable characters, good design as well as effects. All about I was very pleased
with this. I like how the Gods were shown and portrayed as well as the Underworld and
Olympus.
but like I said I did like it it was a exciting, fun adventure!

American High school

Ugh..that was a pretty terrible..I don't know what to say about it
the only saving grace(s) of this film are the following
1.There is some brief nudity
2. The one who plays Gwen is hot
3. The music is pretty good
the rest was pretty terrible the acting was pretty the writing was worse
the best part of the whole movie was the blond getting punched out that made me laugh
but other then at it wasn't the best that's for sure.

Kids in America

I thought this would be your typical "teen comedy" and true it did have some of those
typical aspects the stereotypical group of friends: the Fat guy, the Asian girl, the blonde
perky cheerleader.. as well as the basic story "the adults are oppressing the kids and they
stand up to them. Now that is where typical ends how they stand up was the interesting part
and made for a great film I did get a good laugh out of it more parts then others. I found
it was well done and had a great message, the acting seemed realistic in how they portrayed
the kids. Also there were some familiar faces in this and you have to watch out for those
little redheaded girls they are dangerous I know from experience *lol* anyway it was a good
movie and a nice enjoyable watch.
