Machete (2010)

I Remember going to see the "Grindhouse" Double feature
and seeing the orginal Fake trailer for the movie Machete and thought to myself
if that was a real movie I would probably go see it!

Fast forward a few of years and it brings us to here..

Machete! the actual movie!!

So true to my word I went to see this movie and how did I think it was?
I personally thought it was wonderful! It was truly awesome.
Right from the start it has the 3 things every kickass action movie needs
Babes, guns and plenty of violence. (especially the one girl at the beginning
that he is trying to save, she was crazy hot!!) With an all star cast his one was
truly great.
It does have that wacky retro look with the film grain and frame jumps and
a bit of what looks like wonky editing just the like the Grindhouse films had
which adds alot to its charm and presentation. One of the things I was thinking about
with this film would it be a Spin off being that is came material created for another
movie or would this be just considered a part of a series?
As for thing like the writing it is laughable and everyone's acting is a bit goofy
and over the top but that is what it is suppose to be in this being that I see it as
somewhat more of a Satirical Film and pokes a bit of fun at how movies use to be
and at some serious current issues.
The action as well is good but at the same time it is so over the top to the point
that is is almost cartoonish and you have to laugh at it but at the same time you have
to acknowledge how cool it is .
One thing that really caught my attention was the music, The music alone was
amazing. I was thinking every time something played I was thinking "wow that's
really good!" But the action and humor are what is the winning combination.
The bit with the weedwacker was great, the political commercials were funny,
as well as the thing with the hospital gurney was a nice trick and the thing with the
guys intestines was funny as hell! also what was up with the guy who drew everything?
I also liked how Michelle Rodriguez's characters house was a total dive on the outside
but was really nice on the inside.
Now also we can't forget Lindsay Lohan naked in this and then her as the
"Machine Gun Nun" just Lohan as a nun? that is pure comedy gold right there!
But yes like I said this movie was great fun and yes it had all the scenes from
the original trailer so it all fits in together.
But yes the movie was awesome especially at the end, it was a silly film
that will make you laugh and keep you entertained.

Side note:

Yes on a side note involving Alex Jones, Yes everyone's favorite
conspiracy theorist and all around nut job is taking this movie a
little bit to seriously and is saying that this movie will with a
"90% chance" start a race war! now if you think I'm making this
up there is the link where he is of course shouting at Robert Rodriguez
through youtube blaming him for starting the race war and being a pawn
of the global elite. That is all we need is crackpot Alex Jones to ruin
everything fun. I'm surprised that being Resident Evil: Afterlife is now
playing he is not blaming Milla Jovovich for the coming of a Zombie
Apocalypse. but hey there is still time maybe he didn't see that one yet LOL.
