Saw VI

Another year another Saw movie...
personally I think they are stretching this series out a little to far
by adding more and more to it I myself lost interest in this series after 3
I found 4&5 easily forgettable but then with all the flash backs in this one
it was easy to remember what happened before this. Now the only reason I
keep watching these is I do find the traps that they come up with very interesting.
I think the failure in the films is the space between them when they come out
and the fact that they throw a whole bunch of stuff at you in one sitting
lots of back story and flash backs and current story. If you were to take
all the back story from all 6 films and put it together you would have a
whole new film. As for this chapter as all these films seem to follow
one continues story I found it slightly better then the previous 2
but there were still aspects of it that were lost on me I think
when the series is over and you were to watch all the films in one
sitting you would probably see the brilliance in it.
well there be a Saw VII most likely...

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles Forever

Nostalgia Bomb Activate!!

now I have always been a fan of the Turtles right from the beginning (at least what I
consider the beginning, the beginning for me) I remember getting up Saturday morning and
watching the original cartoon in 1987 from episode 1 right through to the last. I went to
see all the movies in theater. stood out in the cold in line opening night in 1990 for the
first one and stood out in the cold in line in 2007 to see TMNT. had the toys and have the
entire run of the books (both original run and Archie run) if it was turtles I was into it
and still enjoy it. Now when I found out about this I was interested so I thought I would
give it a watch and I'm glad I did this was awesome, it was amazing
I loved it ever second of it. it was perfect it was funny and action packed.
basically the Turtles from the 1987 show along with Shredder and Krang get transported to the
world of the 2003 Animated series (which was also a good series). Shredder and Krang
resurrect the 2003 Shredder and try to remove the Turtles in all their forms and
incarnations from the multiverse and it is up to Turtles past and future to stop them.
basically it is one of those "what if The Super Friends meet up with Justice League
Unlimited?" which is always a real fun idea this movie was also awesome in that you get to
see gimps of all the different variations' from the live action versions to the 2007 animated
version to the various comic incarnations, you even get to see an animated version of Tokka
and Rahzar from Turtles II which was awesome and made me smile.
so if your a Turtle fan you should definitely watch this.

The Thaw

Staring Val Kilmer and Aaron Ashmore comes THE THAW..!
This was pretty good kinda creepy and spooky kinda X-Files-ish in its story becasue I
remember a few episodes that were like this (you even see the smoking/cancer man in the
opening credits as some guy being interviewed) but this was quite a good movie I liked it it
was kinda of gross with the bugs (ew the bugs, the bugs!! *lol*) and I was more grossed by
how they were touching stuff with no gloves or any type of protection and the guy that was
digging the grave at the beginning. also the guy with the red vest was crazy and an asshole.
all in all it was good I liked it and another cool movie I seen not so long ago with a
parasite type creature was called "Splinter"

Stranger with my Face

I thought the title was interesting and thought it would be a completely different movie by
the sound of it. Fist off it ones of those made for TV things and by the sound of that you
would think it would be very bad because not a lot of them are very good but this was
actually quite good in fact probably one of the better ones I've seen. The story was
interesting and the acting was very well done. It also features the mom from the WB show 7th
Heaven. the movie itself somewhat reminded me a little bit of the Harrison Ford "What Lies
Beneath" as well as the Lindsay Lohan "I Know Who Killed Me" but the film was quite good one
part I didn't understand was the guy with the limp why didn't he get a lift out to the girls
house? its kind of cruel to let him limp all the way out there at night. The only complaint
that I have is that I think I like Alexz Johnson better as a redhead then a blond but that's
just me.

National Lampoon's Ratko: The Dictator's Son

I always like watching the national lampoon movies they are always good for a laugh
and this that its funny moments. I would have to say it comes off as a cross between
Van Wilder and Borat almost. its a pretty stupid movie but will give you a laugh
here and there and features Adam West as the Dictator and the guy who played Mr. Belding
as the Dean of the college and there is plenty of T&A to go around so it was pretty good for
a laugh.

Rest Stop

I remember a while a go people were saying that this was really good and I tried to see it
around that time it seemed to disappear from the video stores as soon as I found it and never
had a chance to see it until now. Now for the movie itself I don't think it was as good as
I remember people saying it was alright a little more weird then I thought it would be
and what was up with the crazy RV family? true they were funny and I did get a good laugh
at them but what the hell? also Joey Lawrence as the cop was funny I know he was dying and
all but I couldn't help laugh at his horrible acting and was he a ghost also because were
did his body disappear to? anyway its not as good as I thought it was going to be or as good
as I hear it was, it was just alright but also of it didn't make much sense at times..
