Toy Story 3

One of the Greatest animated stories returns...in 3D!
Toy story the original and the first of its kind (yes look it up it was the first feature length film done completely in digital animation)which single-handedly changed animation and movies in general forever returns.
We meet up with our beloved toys as they try to win the affection of a now grown up Andy
who is heading to college. In a misunderstanding Woody, Buzz and the gang get donated to a Preschool who's toys are ruled by an evil strawberry smelling bear who wants to feed them to the unruly tots and in true "Prison Escape movie" fashion they must break out and get home.
I'd truly have to say this was a fantastic film and a truly welcome chapter
(and hopefully last) in the Toy Story series. The animation was perfect the music
complemented it so well also. The Humor was right on and made me laugh. The "Spanish Buzz"
and the tortilla Potato Head were Hilarious. The movie even had some serious dramatic
tension at points but at the same time the evil bear seemed also like "stinky Pete"
from Toy Story 2 just more evil...
Now it was funny to seem more adults in the theater then kids, but if you were a kid when the first came out and you grew up with it you hand to go and see the 3rd like I did
But the movies was truly amazing and the ending was very sad I even felt like I was welling up and could shed a tear at any second.
Even though the movie was amazing and it had a nice theme of being a family and sticking
together it also had a message that toys are more then just plastic they are a
part of our lives and bring out hopes and dreams to life as we played and should be charshed.
so in closing if you liked the first 2 you should love this one.

The A-Team (2010)

I pity the fool who doesn't enjoy this movie!

I remember watching the series when I was a kin and Mr.T was its star.
Now I was a bit interested and a tiny bit excited when they started marketing this
and even more so when they started promoting this. It is a nostalgia thing.
Now I have to say I was extremely pleased with how it turned out It was perfectly
cast and I and I thought greatly acted it seemed like everyone was just how I remembered it. Basically the movie shows how the team meet and what lead up to them
becoming wanted fugitives and then the mission they undertake to clear their names.
The movie itself had humor and plenty of action and some crazy fun stunts and effects
"Flying the Tank" is one of the most notable things it was both cool and funny.
I also liked how it was edited, the explanation of the mission while showing it happen was a great way of doing it. The editing in that was very interesting and made the movie more
fun to watch. All I can say is this was a great movie
that brings back fond memories and is a enjoyable watch but all I can say is:
"a crack commando unit was sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn't commit. These men promptly escaped from maximum security. Today, still wanted by the government, they survive as soldiers of fortune. If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire the A-Team."

Prince of Persia: the sands of time

From the very first trailers I thought this was going to be good and I was wrong
I greatly enjoyed it. I never had the chance to play the games but heard they were very good as well I'd have to say the movie was very good the cinematography, editing, stunts and effects were all very impressive. the over all film made me kinda of think of Aldin crossed with the scorpion king. it was a fun adventure with plenty of nice action and a little humor.
The acting was very well done I do like watching Jake Gyllenhaal I find he is a very good at what he does and hand real chemistry with Gemma Arterton but all in all I really liked this one it was exciting and lots of fun.

Geek Mythology

Well First I don't really understand the title of this movie I have an idea of what it means but im not completely sure..anyway I wouldn't say the character of Tim is a geek he didn't appear as a geek to me but then it all depends on what one would consider a geek. as for the movie you can tell it wasn't made by professionals and it is just a bunch of people gotten to together to do it but I would have to say it wasn't bad I gotten a laugh out of it it is not by any means a excellent movie but I wouldn't say it was a bad one either it was a nice fun watch. The elevator scene was kinda funny and the music is probably the funniest thing about this I don't think it fits it sounds like something you would hear in a cartoon or some sketch show. The running joke with the cop was pretty good and the big guy "Wallace" looked so familiar! I was trying to think of where I seen him before? but other then that it was an alright movie was a bit funny so it achieved that.

Thor and the Hammer of the Gods.

This was ones of those made for TV movie that you would see on the sci if channel
the ones with the terrible acting and visual effects. Now this one is no
different but it was alright it had the terrible acting and effects the wolf creatures
were kind of funny but in the end it was alright it was a fun watch what filled the time
I needed it to fill. It was very reminiscent of the movie "13th Warrior" staring Antonio
Banderas. like I said the movie was alright there was a nice look to it and there was some
decent action but then there was some very poor attempts at humor and near the end why didn't the guy just cut the others arm and not his whole finger off? wouldn't that have given the
same effect? anyway if you watch don't expect to much from it other then a nice
adventure for 90minutes.
The Decent: Part2

I remember Watching the first one when it came out on DVD and of course it boasted the title that most horror movies claim to be which is "the scariest movie of all time" now I didn't think the first one was scary and I have to say the same about this one I didn't find this one scary at all either.
This "Part 2" is a logical sequel where the girls have gone missing and a search party is sent to find them (see what I mean logical). Now this wasn't a bad movie it its good in a way and follows a good time line and there was some good visuals in this also the various ways of killing off some of the creatures were interesting as well as the thing with the "rat in the mouth" around the beginning was pretty cool and I also liked how you had a chance to get a nice good look at the creatures in this one I like seeing the creature design not just have it as a quick shadowy flash or blur and this movie carried on the sense and feel of the claustrophobic feel and look of the first one. The only thing I don't understand is how the ending was suppose to work? The movie was alright up until that point I'd have to say it didn't much much sense why was the guy waiting there? how did he know at what time someone if anyone would come out? and she took off running how would he know she would stop at that spot and why did he drag her back? I don't know. but like I said it was a pretty good sequel if you love the first one you will like this one also.

My Teachers Wife

Well I have to say that this wasn't bad at all I don't think it was a comedy, there were a few parts in it that gave me a laugh here and there and I think Zak Orth who played "Faber" is actually who made this film funny. of course it also had some familiar faces in it such as Jeffrey Tambor, Christopher McDonald and of course Tia Carrere (schwing!) and speaking of which she does have somewhat of a topless scene in this. Also Jason London who played the main character "Todd Boomer" in this looks so much like Brendan Fraser its unbelievable! but I'd have to say I liked this the dream sequences as well as the animated ones gave me a smile they were well done and interesting but the movie itself like I said was pretty good but then again there are similar ones out there like this but still there is nothing wrong with this one it is a fun watch.

The NEXT Karate Kid

As The Karate Kid Remake plays on the big screen this weekend I conclude my viewing of the series with the true end of the series The NEXT Karate Kid.
I remember watching this for the first time on video when it came out in the 90s and thinking that the girl in it ( who was at the time a relatively unknown Hilary Swank) was the hottest thing ever! she is still pretty good looking but as much as she was in this or at least that is what I thought then. Now at the very first you can tell that it was going to be a different film then the previous 3 but does share many of the elements from the earlier movies as well and being new and different. but truly you have that feeling that this is the last go at the series at the time it was made you can just picture how that meeting when
"what are we going to do next?"
"Daniel's gone so lets make it a girl!"
" thats perfect I'm sold on that idea! lets make it!"
and speaking of which it doesn't really explain what happen to Daniel, is he in college, moved away, settled down with a girl? Mr.Miyagi doesn't really say other then the face that he lived with a friend my the name of Daniel. Now that he has a new female student it gives Mr.Miyagi a whole new set of challenges but I find that the dynamic between the two really does work and is carried well in the film. I didn't find this one hat the humor that the others did although the Monks bowling was a bit funny there isn't much in the way of humor in here but the acting was pretty good and it was nicely shot so you can't really complain to much. It is a fun and enjoyable film.

The Karate Kid PART III

Continuing on with our Karate kid viewing in honor of the up cumming remake I present to you The Final Chapter of The karate Kid Trilogy The karate Kid...PART III.
I never watched this before before now it was an interesting film and shows what happened to the Cobra Kais, and after Miyagi humiliates their master, Kreese. He is a broken man with no students and no money. I don't know why he is as upset as he is someone was bound to beat him at some point he couldn't be the champ forever there is always someone better then you somewhere. but caring his personal vendetta he seeks help from a friend so basically Kreese hires a hit man who in turn hires some goons to strong arm this boy and old man its kind of funny when you think of it. Also the other guy training him to fail which is kind of stupid being that they are engineering (or at least trying to) their win it would just make it a very hollow meaningless victory but I guess that doesn't matter when you are a villain the winning is more important I guess. Also why did he have trouble punching through a 2x4? in the second one he punched through 6 solid chunks of ice on his first try so i don't understand the difficulty on that.
Also Daniel works quick with the ladies in this but I also thought he shouted alot in this one it was like all he was going was shouting at people. I would have to say I did laugh at the "sweeping joke" and I'm no mountain/cliff climb expert but should they have been wearing some boots doing that? I don't think sneakers were proper footwear for that activity lol
all in all it was a pretty good movie in away it reminded me of Spider-Man3 of all things
were he turns on everything he learned and away from the path of the hero and becomes a villain of sorts, then finds redemption when he breaks away from the darkness and comes out a hero once again.

The Karate Kid PART II

Continuing on with our Karate kid viewing in honor of the up cumming remake I present to you The karate Kid...PART II.
I don't think I watched this before or at least in its entirety. I believe I seen bits and pieces of it but never the whole thing from start to finish. It was interesting to see almost a role reversal here where in the first one you see Daniel and what his life is like, where he comes from and follows his story but this one is more focused on Mr. Miyagi and you get to see more of where he comes from and follows his story as it fleshes out more of his past and background.
Like I said it pretty much follows the same story points as the first just changes location and characters which is not a bad thing it makes for a very interesting and enjoyable film. This is a very worthy follow up to the original film and complements it perfectly. I would also have to day the character of Sato was a very good villain I like him very much. Anyway I thought is was very emotional at times and seemed to have alot more humor then the first it was also nicely shot with some very beautiful scenery. but like I said this was actually quite good but man that Daniel guy no matter where he goes he runs a foul of someone who ends up wanting to kick his butt! lol

Hot Tub Time Machine.

I remember seeing this advertised and thinking it would be funny and I did want to see it but did get the chance. Its not the funnest movie of the year but it did make me laugh If I had to describe it I would say it is a cross between Back To The Future and The Hangover. there are a lot of good references to other "Time Travel" movies and a lot of I would say nods to Back To The Future. but like I said it was pretty funny and I thought the acting was good and the writing was excellent. There even was some nice female nudity but sadly some male stuff also and what was up with the guy in the bear suit? anyway it his is a great fun movie I really did enjoy it.

Spawn

I remember going to see this opening night at the theater. I wasn't a Spawn fan in the 90s like everyone else I wasn't really interested in the books or anything related to it. I was reading what I considered more interesting ones. I ended going to see this becasue I went with a friend was was big into Spawn at the time. I'd have to say its not a bad movie, I find it is in a lot of ways similar to the Tim Burton 1989 Batman. The production design is good, the make-up and visual effects are very good especially the visual effects that are very good for the time the movie was made especially in regards to the Violator creature and the Spawn Cape effect the animation is very smooth and perfect. Martin Sheen as Jason Wynn is kind of funny though. After this was released I heard plenty of talk about a Spawn 2 but that apparently never came to pass but even though I wasn't a fan of the character I thought the movie was moderately good, I can't say anything really bad about it.

The Karate Kid (1984)

I remember seeing this along time ago probably the end of the 80s early 90s and being that the remake is coming out soon and looks really good I wanted to give it another watch this is I think only the second time I have seen this movie. I would have to say that the movie it self is almost perfect, it truly is a beautiful film one built on a friendship of two strangers that truly need each other. It is a perfect example of an "80s movie" with a nice sound track and music montages.
the story is fun and keeps you interested and has dug itself into the hearts and minds of people all over the world and brought the terms "sweep the leg" and "wax on, wax off" to the pop culture conciseness and is truly a classic story and I hope the new one is just as good
I couldn't think of anyone better then Jackie Chan for the role of the Mr.Miyagi type character. but like I said this movie is almost perfect.

Dark Island

This wasn't that bad...it was alright. The acting could have used a bit of work and its not really big on effects but when it does use some the effects and animation itself is very good. There were some nice fight scenes as well as some very nice cinematography with beautiful shots of the locations. While moving through the woods you do get the feeling that the characters are being watched from outside force. Alot of whats in here reminds me of other things I seen and Also there is some back story told in various flashbacks.
like I said its an alright movie its not the best but its a good way to kill a couple of hours.

Stripped Naked

Well like I said on other films With a name like "Stripped Naked" it was just begging to be watched!
Now I have to say I was quite surprised with this one I actually thought it was very good. Well acted, nicely shot and seemed to be well written. Also there is very little nudity in a film that features a strip club and quite a few strippers, I'm not saying that was a bad thing I'm just saying it was different then what I would expect. The only problem I seemed to have was at times the picture seemed to slip in and out of focus it wasn't by any great degree but you do notice it when stuff starts to become a bit blurry but it is fixed quickly until it happened again but it doesn't really ruin the enjoyment of the movie itself. The ending itself was kind of sad being the character of Cassie did all that for nothing. all in all this was a pretty good movie I would have to say I liked it.

Killer Bitch

ok..? I don't know what to say about this one it was pretty off the wall and didn't make much sense at times but with a title like "Killer Bitch" it just begs to be watched. Its had a good start but then when down after that. I have to say the acting was quite terrible and the writing wasn't that better either... and speaking of writing I can't understand what they were saying at times I don't speak British slang. I was like what the hell are they talking about?? its like a whole conversation that sounds like gibberish. there were some scenes that made me laugh they were so crazy that you had to also there seemed to be some continuity errors that are very noticeable plus the editing was a bit wonky at times. Now wit hall that said it did had some good parts there was a lot of nice looking nude women running around in this I have no complaint about that and the music for this was very good also and this movie boasts a topless midget in this also which was different anyway I don't think this movie would classify as a good movie but I don't think it was a bad one either so it won't be rated, although I wouldn't recommend it to anyone
Wet Hot American Summer

I'd have to admit that this was really really good! It is an excellent spoof on the 80s teens/kids at summer camp idea. This was hilarious like you couldn't believe I was smiling and laughing all the way through it they hit piratically every cliche they could to make this one awesome and it all works.
It also has many familiar faces like Janeane Garofalo, David Hyde Pierce, Molly Shannon, Amy Poehler and Christopher Meloni to name a few I personally have to say that that all Christopher Meloni was seriously funny in all this scenes he totally owned every one he was in. Its funny watching him go completely crazy when you're use to seeing him as the serious and tough Detective Stabler on SVU. and yes everyone else was excellent in this as well I loved the Music Montage's in this you can't have an "80s" movie with out one and this one had 3!! Hells yeah!
also who who names their camp Camp Firewood? is that just a a bit lazy? but it was all very funny especially the talking can of Mixed Vegetables, Janeane Garofalo phone freak out and what was the deal with every camper having a weird Jewish type name like Cooperberg and Kleinenstein? anyway this movie was awesome if you love the 80s teen flick you'll love this.

The 41-Year-Old Virgin Who Knocked Up Sarah Marshall and Felt Superbad About It

Oh God that was funny! it is one of those movies that is done in the "Scary Movie" parody style that takes scenes form the movies in this movies title and other movies and weaves them in to one film with hilarious results. I knew this would be funny just at the opening credits and I have to say The guy who played Stephen Kramer Glickman who played Seth Rogen was amazing you actually think its him. This whole thing was full of laughs and apparently vomit? I don't know who someone could puke that much? the editing was a bit choppy but the acting was perfect and the music made me laugh also and this was full of pop culture references that were a laugh in them self the Twilight ones were great as were stuff for To Catch a Predator, UFC, those stupid Dos Equis commercials and the Angelina Jolie/Madonna gag was a good laugh and those are just to name a few. this movie is of course stupid and mindless but it sure is a lot of fun and will make you laugh!

The Dunwich Horror

I was familiar with The Dunwich Horror which is biased on a short story by H. P. Lovecraft.
and is part of the stories of the Cthulhu Mythos. So I wanted to give it a watch. I would have to say it wasn't bad it has that Made for TV feel to it and was probably done for the Sci-fi channel. The actual movie itself plays out in a way like an episode of the X-Files. I would have to say the acting wasn't that bad it was better then I thought it would be and the editing was a bit interesting as well as for the effects they were bad at all either and the music was good as well.
the one funny thing about this film is all the locations they went to seemed rather familiar so that just mean I'm watching to many movies lol. but this wasn't bad but at the same time it was excellent either it was an interesting watch though if you are familiar with the characters give it a watch.

Youth in Revolt

Well I don't know just what to say about that one it was different.
I remember seeing the ads for it and thinking it looked pretty good and it was pretty good it was a bit quirky and odd and had a lot of familiar and famous faces in it.
It animation parts were different but worked and I wish they had subtitles for the couple of french bits in there. It isn't really funny in the beginning I didn't start laughing until I'd say 40-45mins into it. I also like Michael Cera he plays a good "average guy" and I think that has a lot to do with his look. Also the idea of him creating the "super cool bad boy" who will do everything that he was to afraid to do is similar to Edward Norton&Brad Pitt in Fight Club.
The ending of this was a bit weird but all around this was a pretty fun movie to watch I can't really complain about it.

Shrek: Forever After

The Final Chapter...
Shrek and the gang return for there fourth and final installment (or so they say)
Shrek feeling the burden of being famous and now a domesticated family man
is yearning for his glory days when Ogres were feared and not celebrated.
After an out burst at his children's birthday party Shrek storm off and meets
up with the smooth talking Rumpelstiltskin who offers Shrek a chance to
relive his days when an ogre was an ogre in exchange for 1 other day.
Shrek agrees and rumple takes his payment sending our lovable hero to
an alternate reality where he was never born.
Donkey is a prisoner, puss is fat and lazy, Fiona is a tough hardened and
hateful warrior princess and rumple is king. so it is a race against
time to set things right again and stop rumples nefarious plot.
as Shrek Learns that you don't know what you have until its gone.
Personally if this is the final chapter in the series it was quite the send off this was true
Shrek form as it has gone back to its roots the story is well done the jokes are funny and the animation and effects are seamless as well as impressive especially in 3D (in which I seen it) the production design and characters are excellent and flawless.
even the music was perfect and helped the jokes at certain times I am so pleased how this
turned out and couldn't have wished for and better ending to the series.

Return to House on Haunted Hill

I remember seeing this advertised and thinking that I would give it a
watch sometime and do remember watching the first one in 1999 and thinking
it was a pretty good spooker so I thought I would give this one a watch.
The opening titles were pretty good it was a interesting way of doing them the
blood effect reminded me of the Dawn of the Dead remake they had a similar
effect if I remember correctly. The acting was a bit off that the start
but once they arrived at the house I found that the movie really picked up.
basically a paramilitary group lead by an opportunistic treasure hunter
followed closely by a professor and some others end up at the house
searching for a valuable item hidden there and as they make there way
through they are set upon by the ghosts. I would have to say I was
very pleased by how this turned out it was very good better then i
thought it would be there was thought a surprising about of nudity in
this but I can't say I was complaining but the film was good I would have
say better then the first the make-up effects and as well as visual ones
were quite impressive such as the face cutting scene as the sheets one in
the front room. also there is a scene after the credits for those
interested but all in all I rather enjoyed it.

Iron Man 2

Iron Man soars in a Brand new adventure that can only be powered by
arc reactor technology in one of the summers most anticipated movies!
I was so excited to see this and had very high expectations for it I
personally try not to have expectations when going into a movie but
I could help it with this one and I would have to say that it didn't just meet
them it surpassed them!
the cast is phenomenal Robert Downey Jr. is Tony Stark I don't believe
anyone could do a better job with this character then him.
and everyone else shines in their part Samuel L. Jackson as Furry
Sam Rockwell and Justin Hammer, is awesome and you just want to hate
him as this character. I even though Scarlett Johansson was very
good as Black Widow I was a bit saddened that she didn't adopt a
Russian accident for the part but at the same time her character is
a super spy so I would think her speaking in perfect English works in
her favor for that it shows how good she is at blending in.
and I must mention Mickey Rourke as Whiplash (or should I say the
Whiplash/Crimson Dynamo hybrid) he was a prefect villain he played
that so well like incredibly well the fight at the race track you actually
believe that he has Iron Man defeated and that the hero has fallen.
the only casting I was worried about was the replacement of Terrence Howard
with Don Cheadle because I thought Terrence Howard fit that part so well
but Don Cheadle did a very good job in that part.
and finally John Slattery portrayal of Howard Stark reminded me so much
of Walt Disney I don't know if that is how it was suppose to be but
that is what I gotten from it.
as for the story it picks up shortly after the first one left off
and deals with Stark's revelation that he is Iron Man. The story
touches on so many aspects of Tony's comic book past his inflated
ego and his alcoholism as the government hounds him for the secret
of the Iron Man suit, The realization that the prolonged use of
his chest battery is killing him and the looming threat of people
with sinister plans getting there hands on this technology.
you watch as his life spirals out of control and down the tubes
but again finds personal redemption with the help of Nick Furry,
S.H.E.I.L.D and his best friend Rhodey and proves that even though
Iron Man might be Invincible but the man in side is just as flawed
and vulnerable as the rest of us.. the scene with pepper and the
strawberries was I think a good example of that.
as for the effects they were seamless perfect, the action was explosive
and exciting and the wit and humor gave me a smile and a chuckle
and I think my biggest smile came from the scene after the credits.
second biggest smile was probably the Captain America's Shield gag.
but all in all this movie was excellent I loved it and had no complaints
about it at all.
Wild Things: Foursome

I would have to say I was surprised to see that they made a four one of these
but like all the others I thought I would give it a watch and I would have to
say that it was an alright movie. Now the acting in this wasn't all that good
but where it lacks in that it makes up for it in the T&A like all the movies
in this series it has a lot of bouncing and giggling. I noticed that the movie
itself was not was not completely 100% original you could tell they borrowed this
scene from the First one and that scene from the second and this idea from the
third and they put it all together and sprinkled it with some new stuff to make
this look like an all new movie but like I said it was an alright movie minus the
patchwork script. In my opinion the first one will always be the best this one
compared to the other in how good it was it fits in between 2 & 3.

Zombie Strippers!

I remember hearing about this and seeing the trailer for it online and thought I would
give it a watch sometime it wasn't until the other night when I was talking to a friend of mine about a couple of movies and he brought this one up and asked if I had seen it yet
which I told him no. So with that I decided to watch this now and I would have to say it was alright its not the best movie some of the acting is very cheesy there was also very little humor some parts were funny but in a stupid type of way, but I would have to say the thing with the pool Balls was I thought the funnest part. the make-up and visual effects were pretty good especially the head ripping scene was cool. also some of the music in this was good also but I'd have to say the 2 things I learned from this is when you become a zombie
1. you become extremely agile, to a almost superhero level. 2. being a zombie makes you a better stripper

Esoteric Agenda 2: Kymatica

wow...just when you thought they crammed all the craziness in to one film they go and head and make a sequel that is not just crazy but retarded?!? apparently the narrator/voice over guy hates everything and want you to also while at the same time he hates you for being a "diseased corporate whore who is only concerned about your materialistic greed" he goes on about how you the viewer is what is wrong with the world today. about 20-27 minutes in he regurgitates some of the key points from the first film there is also about 10mins or so of animals being torched in this also which i didn't like watching. apparently things like Birth certificates and drivers licenses are means of oppression and are actually receipts of your government ownership and they can buy and sell you using these documents, I mean come on really? that is retarded! also if everyone just lived a natural life all the problems would go away if you need something you just take it. well that doesn't really work in what I like to call "the real world" I need a box of cereal being that I'm living a natural life I should be permitted to just walk into the the store and take it because according to this guy I don't need any currency being I'm living a natural life and when the cops arrest me for shoplifting ha that's no problem they are just tools of the government I don't have to obey any laws set forth by man because I'm living a natural life and courts and judges its all a farce I'm living a natural life and then you will be locked away in jail but its no biggie because of course I'm living a natural life...BS I say BS!
and all his pseudoscience he pushes and these so called experts he trots out I could hire some guy and say "ok your Dr Farnsworth for University U all you have to do is deliver the lines as scripted" these 2 docs are stupid to the point of retarded and you would have to be so to believe alot of it makes me wonder who gave this 5 stars?

Perfume-The Story Of A Murderer

I remember seeing a trailer for this on a DVD some time ago and thought it looked interesting and ended up watching it here. I would have to say that it is a very good somewhat enchanting but yet some what sad story. There were plenty of good performances by Dustin Hoffman and Alan Rickman in this and especially from Ben Whishaw who plays the main character who is a man with an extraordinary sense of smell that is truly superhuman. The plays this role in a way that you could only relate it to Hannibal Lector he comes off as very smart and very calculating at least I thought so. There were also some parts in it that I thought were funny I don't think they were suppose to be funny but I thought they were anyway. Also the one thing I really liked about this was the Narration at times through the movie I felt that it helped the story along greatly. Another thing about this has to be it should have been called "a series of unfortunate events" for the simple fact that while on his quest to capture beauty in a bottle and create the ultimate perfume/sent everyone he comes in contact with in his life dies and not really by his hand mind you but in some random obscure way. He comes and stays with someone one for a while and then as soon as he leaves that person finds a rather peculiar probably the funniest was how Dustin Hoffman character exits. I felt kind of bad when the main character accidentally kills the first red headed girl in the ally not as bad as he felt but bad enough and when he started killing the girls for his masterpiece he should have burned the clothes and the hair and would have probably have gotten away with it even smoother then he did. but in the end he creates the ultimate perfume which has a rather interesting effect near the end of the movie which leads into a rather odd ending. but all in all it was a great movie and I was happy to watch it.

A Nightmare on Elm Street (2010)

Much like the other remakes that came out recently I wanted to see this new
take on a classic horror film/franchise and I would have to say I wasn't
disappointed. Much like with last years Friday the 13th (2009) I was very pleased
with how this turned out. Also much like last years "Jason" this ones
story is a bit different from the original and it also sheds some light
on what happened that lead him to become the monster that he is
but even though the story is a bit different it is a very good
take on the series it also has many of the classic scenes
like the glove coming out of the bathwater, Freddy's face coming out of the
wall above the bed and the girl thrashing around as she flys around the room
being killed to name a few.
even though this is the first time Freddy was not played by Robert Englund
and was replace by Jackie Earle Haley (Watchmen's Rorschach) he takes the
character and runs with it full steam and does a very impressive job.
But where as the original Freddy was a bit more over the top comedic and a little
twisted as well as kinda cheesy with the jokes this new one I'd have to say
is more serious and revenge driven with a far more demonic fell to him
and he has some nicely well written witty lines that will actually make
you laugh.
I'd have to say it was nicely put together and the effects both visual and
especially make-up were impressive where it goes for the realism and gives him a
look similar to how someone would appear if they were burned alive.
The only problems I have had is that it was a was a shame Robert Englund
didn't make an appearance in this as like a cop or some background character
and second I kinda think the part of Nancy was miss cast I don't think the
girl in this one (Rooney Mara) was as good as the original Nancy (Heather Langenkamp)
I felt in away that Mara didn't have the fight or drive that Langenkamp's
Nancy did. I'm not saying Mara did a bad job I just think she should have be
I don't know more... confident? Mara's Nancy came off a little more apathetic
and should have been a little more out going.
but all around I really enjoyed this take on this film
it was a fun watch with some scenes that should give you a jump or a
chill.
Damage

Staring everyone's favorite redneck Stone Cold Steve Austin and Supergirl herself Laura Vandervoort and an appearance by William B. Davis (The Smoking Man/Cancer Man)

I would have to say that this was a pretty good movie I don't think I liked it as much as the condemned but it was very good. there is not much to the plot basically what is in the description.
It in away reminded me almost like a cross between Rocky and No Holds Barred (staring the Hulkster!) the fights were good and exciting to watch especially the "dog match" that was an interesting one. I would have to say the acting was very good also I don't have any complaints about it although some might , the only thing I don't think I liked was Laura Vandervoort as a brunette I guess it is becasue you're use to seeing her as a blond but with that said I don't think her blond hair would fit this film so the color change works. This also had a bit of humor especially in the Parole Officer scenes they did give me a chuckle and this film also had some good music at times not what you would expect from an Adrenaline fueled action flick but its an action picture with a heart. all in all I liked it it was a fun watch and enjoyed it.

Hellweek

This was pretty good actually it was a fun watch a bit creepy at times the acting was kind of bland from the teen characters at times like they were just saying something they memorized but I think the crazy family characters is what made this an enjoyable watch they were fun and interesting. The editing and music in this was very good. There seemed to be a lot of Chainsaw Massacre references in this and there were a few from other movies as well. You can tell this is low budget amateur made but its better then some of the ones I seen. Also the character of JJ reminded me of Stiffler from American Pie. all in all this was a fun watch I can't really complain to much about it.

I Am Virgin

ok what the hell was that?
basically they take the story from "I Am Legend" and turn it into a porn.
the guy "Robby" in this who reminds me of Brendan Fraser and is the last man alive on earth or so he thinks and he is a virgin! apparently the world suffered a plague of some sort that turned everyone in to a sex crazed vampire and Robby goes around the city watching everyone have sex (see that is where the porn angle comes in) but he won't join in when he is offered and runs away screaming like a little girl. until a very so wise Vampire named Paul played by Ron Jeremy tells him that he can have as much sex as he wants as long as its meaningless sex Robby try to put this into practice but he can't being that he is a loser and would rather continue this journey to find that one perfect girl for him and heads north to a fabled compound where apparently there are all kinds of non sexy vampires. Well with that said plenty of the girls in this were perfect so I don't know the problem, but hey to each his own. the movie itself was pretty awful the acting or lack there of was horrible, it was full of cheesy horror movie references. The only thing that saved this was watching the girls bounce around, I didn't even find it funny it was just groan worthy so don't bother watching if you want a comedy its not one and it doesn't even make a good porn either...

Forgetting Sarah Marshall

this was one that you heard a lot of good things about and you wanted to see and I would have to say I did enjoy it. I thought it was very extremely funny I laughed at countless parts through out the movie. I liked it although I did not enjoy the male nudity that I couldn't have lived with out but the female nudity was just fine lol. As I was saying the film was nicely written, shot and acted the characters were believable and very likable and this movie featured many familiar faces especially Mila Kunis who shins in this like no other I think she even upstages Kristen Bell and is of course more watchable. around the 40min mark i had a feeling I thought I knew where this was going and was happy it went the other way it made for a better final act. anyway very good movie with plenty of good laughs.

The Drawn Together Movie.

Well now...I did watch the show when it was on all of it and thought it was pretty funny and when I heard they were doing a Direct to Video movie I thought "That should be interesting" so i was curious to see it when it was available and here we are.
I'd have to say I noticed that the animation seems a bit different from the TV series but that is not a good or a bad thing. I also think this came around being that the Family Guy Star Wars ones are popular and of course Seth MacFarlane voices a female robot with huge knockers in this called "I.S.R.A.E.L." (Intelligent Smart Robot Animation Eraser Lady) and in true Drawn together fashion this was outrageous, Raunchy and crude and utterly offensive and even more so on this its pretty much everything they couldn't do on TV with loads of foul language, tons of nudity and even an Animated Sex Scene. but all in all it was what you would expect from this series as for the jokes and the writing was sharp and witty and I did get a good laugh out of it. so if you loved the show you should like this. I especially laughed at the South Park parody. I'd have to say I like how this turned out and gives a good ending to the series as a whole.

Chloe

I seen this advertised a few times and said I'd watch that if I had the chance so this was the chance it was a different little film and has 3 great actors in it Julianne Moore, Liam Neeson and
Amanda Seyfried as the title character. I have to say I do like her she has a very beautiful face and the rest of her isn't bad either (gigady!) I'd have to say this one would probably fall under the erotic thriller gene and it shockingly had more nudity in it then I thought it would. but it was well acted and the story was kinda different. I mean it would have just been easier to hire a Private eye to tale her husband but I guess this works also in a bit of a round about way. Also the ending was a bit off I must have missed something somewhere what was Chloe's motive? sis she want Julianne Moore Character's life? did she want to replace her? or was it something else? I didn't really get it? but over all it was an ok film and was worth the watch.

Kick Ass

I went to see this becasue the idea really spoke to me and the trailers
looked very good, funny and had action. and I would have to say that
Kick Ass is one of the best movies I seen this year so far. this movie truly
kicks ass! The movie was very good it had a lot of action and was a bit violent
but not needlessly violent though I think it was a important part of the experience the
main character goes through. I thought it was a realistic depiction of what would happen
for the most part if you just threw on a costume and went out and fought crime with
now powers or abilities to fall back on it just doesn't work and the character
of Kick Ass finds that out quick. They do bring up the idea of Batman where he has
no powers and is just a regular guy but you have to look at it in the way that
where it is technically possible to become Batman you would have to do what he
did and spend 15-20 years learning how to become The Batman learn all the stuff
he had learned where Batman has skill and technology on his side Kick Ass does not.
I'd say he is more like Casey Jones from Ninja Turtles. He was surely unprepared for
heroing where as the Character of Big Daddy and his daughter Hit Girl were more
prepared and able to do it. He seemed to have a form of ceramic body armor and be more
technical as well as have some skill unlike Kick Ass. a little knowledge and prep time goes
along way there is a old comic book saying "Batman's greatest superpower is
prep time" but as I said the movies was fantastic the action and stunts
were impressive the humor was sharp, witty and very funny. The story
itself was very good you could draw parallels from these "real world" character
and actual comic characters where as Big Daddy and his daughter Hit Girl
were like a cross between Batman&Robin and The Punisher and as I said
Kick Ass is more like Casey Jones, as well as Red Mist and his father
came off kind of like Wilson Fisk (the Kingpin) and Harry Osborn.
and its true I would like to be a Superhero also but I know it takes
more then just throwing on a costume and walking around the city
I wouldn't do it unless I had powers like invulnerability or at least
be nigh-invulnerable lol. but all in all this was a fantastic film
if you ever wish of being a superhero give it a watch.

Earth 2100

At first I thought this was just a movie like an action or Sci-fi one not a documentary
type of thing but it is a good one. It as a great visual style that sticks with you as it is
mainly done as a "motion comic" similar to what was done with Watchmen where the
panels are animated and the story comes alive.
The Las Vegas scene reminded me of what was shown in the 3rd Resident Evil movie
"extinction" but with that being said this like many other share a similar formula.
It is almost like it employs scare tactics and like many similar to it it in subject
matter it is certain in what it says this is no "if" or "might" there is only
"it WILL happen like this!" like the science is absolute and infallible, but at the same
time you can watch another Doc that says the exact opposite thing.
also like many others it is very pessimistic and only deals with a worst case
scenario this is no optimism and when a shred appears it is quickly dashes with more
talk of the End of Days. when watching stuff like this makes me think about things like
what happened to the space program? by like 2083 wouldn't we be out exploring and boldly
going where not man as gone before in a possible "star trek" type of fashion?
at least have a colony on Mars or some other earth like planet? these types of
things don't really address stuff like that they mainly just say were stuck here and
were screwed, deal with it!
like I said there is very little "if or might" in these types of things also isn't
the world going to end in 2012? lol if so we don't have to worry about getting to
2083 and by 2015-2025 aren't we suppose to be in the war with the machines
who are out to terminate us by then? lol
but all in all it is was very good but I wouldn't take it for 100% fact becasue
you never know I think the best part of the whole thing was the end were they
gave you a tiny bit of "what if" but still it was mainly focused on the bad and
you have to look on the bright side and be optimistic and build a better future not
one that involves death and destruction.

Esoteric Agenda

Well I would have to say it was longer then most at over 2 hours, where most of these are an
hour and a half/45 mins. Now I would have to say as these cooky doc go this one by far takes
the cake it has everything in it and more and introduces some new stuff such as "The Order"
and "The Mystery Religion" and something called Agenda 21. also I learned some things in
this such as Global Warming causes things like polio. Also the Mass Media and movies such as
Harry Potter are made solely to push the Mass Media agenda and make you feel stupid?
as well as if you by any product you are in fact funding the New World Order becasue they
will own you through your materialism and in fact when they come to power they well come and
take everything you own away so you don't really "own" anything anyway you are just holding
it for a little while. Also you will come to pay for your materialism with something called
the "Amerio"? they also mention something called a UN Peace keeping force which I heard
somewhere else will be called "F.O.E" which stands for Forces Of Earth. Also you should
not get a job being that when you do get a job you will no longer be a Natural Person but in
fact you will become a Artificial Person. and apparently if your name appears in all caps
on any document that means a man's condition changes from freedom to Bondage and all rights
of citizenship and family rights are surrendered! so they can just pick you up off the
street and throw you in jail just for that. lol like I said this one had everything even
your pal and mine Alex Jones has a voice over (hell yeah! lol) all this was missing was
Aliens and "Planet X" and it would have been perfect even if it did get a bit of spiritual
and metaphysical near the end it was still a fun watch all the same.

Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby

I'm not a big fan of Nascar or car racing in general but I have been to a few races being
that we have a race track were I live and it is a big thing in the summer anyway..I wanted to
see this being that the trailers looked funny, but what is up with Will Ferrell and all the
sports movies? I'm surprised he didn't do a wrestling one or baseball yet.
anyway this lived up to the trailers it was very funny, very one seemed retarded in it but
that just made it funnier. Also there was alot of familiar faces in this as well its kinda
of fun pointing out all of them but I guess when your Will Ferrell you can have anyone you want in the movie.
as I was saying some good laughs, nice camera work great writing and acting makes this a fun
movie to watch.

American Summer (the pool boys)

featuring Matthew Lillard,Tom Arnold and George Takei! that's right I said George Takei!!
this wasn't the greatest movie but it was fun and entertaining there were a few laughs
but plenty of very beautiful woman, lots of nice T&A jiggling and bouncing through
the story is a simple one and is very teen comedy and also features a Gimp fighting a
Unicorn. Now when it started about 7 mins in I thought this is going to be good and I have to say it
was pretty enjoyable. if you want to waist some time and watch something with some zany
characters and hot girls pop this one on.

American Dirtbag

This was a rather good yet sad movie it was well written and very well acted
the two main characters seem like they are very cookie cutter at the start
she is the popular cheerleader type and he is the bad boy from "the wrong side of the tracks"
but they blow passed that and have very deep meaningful performances.
they are 2 people thrust together by how there names appear on the attendance list
there lives are different on the out side but very similar on the inside.
and that almost gives them some common ground. he is a real jerk to her in the beginning
and I was wondering why until I seen how this home life is and it was no surprise
and speaking of which I did like how both their home lives were shown from a color
perspective hers is very bright and cheerful where his is depicted as very dull and
gray you could almost say when they begin to develop their friendship it is like
she somewhat brings color into his world and that is where it goes a rye
when they develop their relationship they are pretty good together until he tries
to take it to the next level and she shoots him down he becomes hateful and possessive
towards her almost violent and jealous towards the ones around her. you can kind of
say that he does not want to let go of the color she injected into his world and
ends up doing the "if I can't have her I don't want to live" thing and tries to take
his own life in the middle of class. she feels guilty but moves on and there is
some snippets of life after the suicide attempt were she sees him in public that seem
kind of weird and out of place but maybe that is how it was suppose to look
I don't know. it is a sad end though but somewhat give closer to her and the experience
also this says it was inspired by a true story I'm thinking maybe since this was written
and directed by a woman that she was the main female character and this happened to her?
I can't say for certain but it would make sense.

Alice in Wonderland 2010

Like most I grew up watching the original Disney Animated Alice in Wonderland much like
everyone else, but do remember at one point seeing a live action version when I was little
along with a live action Snow White...? but that is besides the point. when I heard about
this I knew it would be interesting especially since Tim Burton was in charge due to his
rather unique style and I'd say "neo-gothic" look he smears all over everything and of
course that comes through in this thing in spades. While watching I kept thinking to myself
"is this some sort of sequel to the animated film" being that Alice is all grown up and
making a second trip to Wonderland.
With that in mind while watching it made me thinking of other similar movies such as 1985s
Return to Oz (another Disney feature) and 1991s Hook. Now while watching this film I hate
to say I felt very disinterested..? The effects were perfect I did so like the Cheshire Cat
as well as the the production design and being a Tim Burton film the usual regulars are in
here. I found Johnny Depp played a Mad Hatter who was truly mad and he was fun to watch as
always and did get a lough out of some of the stuff in the film much like some of the things
the Red Queen says but still while watching I felt very disinterested like I could careless
what happens to the characters or the world itself the movie must have been lacking something
I don't know what it was but something..I was interested in seeing it but during and after
seeing it I felt very "meh" about the whole thing. it was good in ways but in the long run
I don't think it lived up to what I thought it was going to be and that is truly a shame.
